Weather and other environmental effects.

Now this might have already been mentioned but here is the idea. Wouldn't it be nice if weather could actually affect how you experience the game? For example, you are in Cyrodiil going for a siege and fog rolls in, it could affect the view distance of characters making it possible for two large group to pass each other without notice (potentially). Or during a storm your travel speed could be slightly reduced due to muddy terrain. Also, what about underground dungeon, why is it so bright? It could be dark enough that even with the brightness setting you would require a skill like Inner Light or there could be an automatic animation of your character pulling out a torch thus repelling the darkness.

What's your opinion? Is it too unrealistic to think it would be possible? What other environmental effects could be interesting?

That would be a nice feature to have, although probably not feasible. The fog especially would cause even more lag than there already is. And making it a toggle would be pointless because if you have it toggled on, then you are at a disadvantage to those who have it toggled off.

Darker delves/dungeons would be possible, and a welcome addition. It would spice things up a bit if you had to use some type of light source to see and make your way through.

Personally,I wouldnt mind it if when it rains,my character got wet and looked like it. I tend to changer his clothes when it rains.

It would be interesting, but wouldn't be plausible in the current weather system as weather is client-side and not server-side (meaning, I may be experiencing a blizzard, and you may have clear skies, even though we're standing next to each other).
