Reduced XP at Veteran Levels?

Hello,

I was solo grinding at Wayrest Sewers from about mid-forties to veteran level 1.

While I was level 49, killing scaled level 49 crocodiles and skeevers in Wayrest Sewers, I was gaining about ~20k XP a run.

However as soon as I hit Veteran Rank 1 (and all the mobs scaled with me to V1), I've only been gaining around ~4k XP towards my next veteran level per run.

Whats the deal with that?

Once you reach VR 1, dungeon grinding is almost useless.

So in reality.... not only is the amount of XP between each level 1000% more, you also recieve 80% less XP in eveything you do?

No only dungeons give you gimped xp. Once you get to your silver and gold zone you get almost ok xp

Pretty much grinding has been completely nerfed however some believe this will change with the arrival of the Imperial DLC and the extra 2 Vet ranks it brings. So maybe just quest until then.

nope means you have to actually play the game and not just re do the first 2 mins of a dungeon.

Nope it means you're practically forced to finish every quest in each area just to rank up 1 VR, it's a shambles.

I can only spam E so fast through quest dialog though...

Grinding is still the fastest way to get Vet levels, just gotta grind the right things.

As AD Dreugh in Stonefall and zombies in Alikr Desert give between 600-700k/hour with exp scroll.

if it's your first run through the game, then i'd suggest questing justo to experience it, some quests have good storylines.

If it's not your first run just do the main quests only (cadwell ones) rush to your gold area and grind a mob. Can easily get a vet lvl every 2 hours like this.

Well it is my first run through. So I guess I'll muddle through.

Thanks for the information. Hopefully questing/Overworld Grinding is better xp as stated.
