An idea...Just throwing it out there.

Sorcerors get battle creature summons so why can't other classes get a battle creature to accompany them by ways of necromancy(A former worm cultist or an out of the way Tamrielic Frankenstein). Why not have a build your own creature feature? You would have to have it slotted mind you and will act like a summon.
You could have two kinds defensive (wards or healing) offensive melee and offensive ranged
You have the chance of seeing it work in a certain quest line. So no spoilers here.

Could this be doable? Would you want such a thing? Would this break lore?

    down the road if neco gets added possibly undead followers. i honestly wouldnt mind some kind of actual usuable pet. hell even add a beast rider class lol

    Dragonknight could have a scamp or a flame atronach as a summon, templar could have an angelic creature as a summon, and night blades could have a vampire blood fiend or a summon themed for a follower of the night mother.

    The Sorceror summons are there to complement builds which would be weak without them. Adding summons to builds without those weaknesses would unbalance things. Plus it would negate one of the uniquenesses of Sorcerers and lead to even more crowded towns and battles.

    Having said that, I have no objection to new classes which have specific summons for which they are designed -- for example, look at the Hunter enemy class -- they have very little in the way of health or armor (akin to Sorcerers) but they can summon an animal to fight for them.
