Suggestion: Remove the laddres to the above-ground

This is definitely going to receive a mixed response, but hear me out...

I think being able to skip the sewers (and all districts but Memorial to be honest...) and jump straight up top removes a major component of the Imperial City. One of the BEST parts of this new zone is the underground, and besides exploring there are NO people down in the sewers. Having these ladders encourages zerg-play, camping the spawn points, and has resulted in only one district being even remotely populated on the PTS.

I would love others' feedback on this idea. It would lead to less immediate action, but I think it would spread players out and make it much more exciting to wander through the city.

The ladders also make you able to reach the enemy sewers faster. A one way shortcut, I think they're fine.

I don't disagree with that. What I would like to see is a District Control concept (which was in development, but was scrapped) in which only the controlling alliance would have access to a district via those ladders. If no alliance was in control, everyone would have access via the ladders, but noone could respawn in the district; if one alliance was in control, they have access via the ladders and can respawn there, while the others would have to enter through the sewers or other districts.

That would have been awesome, but would have added a single district that each faction had access to no matter what.

One thing to do also would be to make the mobs give more experience and tel'var stones the deeper into the sewers you go, and have a pvp/pve event in the center circle that drops a chest full of actual good loot players can fight over.

I agree going to any district whenever you want is pretty lame, but pretty useful when you group up with someone you don't have to run through the entire sewers just to join up at least.

@Manoekin there actually IS an event down in the center of the sewers. However i havent done it myself, so i cant really comment on the quality of loot gained. Knowing ZOS its probably pretty underwhelming.

On topic: I like the idea this would populate the less used areas of IC quite a bit and maybe even spread out all the fighting from the memorial district.

What kind of timer is it on? I spent over an hour in the center part the first day and didn't see anything happen.

I actually tried this out for the first time last night for about 30 minutes and I have to admit all six ladders being in one room seemed like the easy way out of doing something to me. If the ladders took you to all six districts from one place where are all of the tunnels that get you there once you climb the ladders? I know the districts are not 2 foot away from each other above ground so there has to be some traveling involved after you climb the ladder yet you just pop out in the right place.
