Detect pots now read "nearby Nightblades now have an empty ability slot and no defensive abilities."

Cloak ceases to have any defensive function, spelling certain death for any magicka NB that roams into detection range (20m for those who don't know).

I want potions that read "All nearby Sorcerers are incapable of casting shields," "All nearby Dragonknights are incapable of dealing fire damage," and "All nearby Templars are incapable of casting healing abilities" to compensate please. If you're going to take away the skill the defines Nightblade's identity, then take away those of other classes as well. Even the playing field.

Detection Potion does not prevent you from using invisibility shortly afterwards.

In the most recent PTS patch, using cloak while under the vision of a detection potion does not force miss projectiles and single target abilities. Nightblades are basically sitting ducks for whatever people throw at them... On live, when you're under a detect pot, you run like hell in the other direction spamming force miss to avoid damage while trying to get away, cutting line of sight, and dodge rolling people's gap closers. Now, we won't have ANY tool to get away with because this force miss was the ONLY one that NB had.

So yea, using cloak while under a detect pot now does absolutely nothing = you might as well not have it on your bar

And on that note, cloak needs to dodge gap closers as well, and dots do not need to take a NB out of invisibility. Only aoe and detection should reveal NBs. There's enough of both of those in the game that they are enough.

Radiant Magelight also needs to be fixed so that when you're inside the 10m radius, it actually reveals hidden units consistently. That fix alone would alleviate a lot of the pressure people feel from invisibility.

I stopped playing it years ago when some of the effects got a little outrageous.

I must fail to see your problem. With Double Take always on and Dark Cloak/Concealed Weapon combo on the bar, I remember myself rushing through groups of 4-8 enemy players using pots/flares only to trick them and eventually lure into a group of mobs, Impale them in the right moment, then flee/fight the remaining ones. What I don't remember is dying during that sort of maneuver.

Because when you were spamming Cloak in that situation, you were force missing every gap closer and single target spell that was shot at you. You just didn't realize it. That won't happen anymore. ALL of the damage they aim at you will connect now.

Because when you were spamming Cloak in that situation, you were forcing every gap closer and single target spell that was shot at you to miss outright. You just didn't realize it. Double Take barely factored in. That won't happen anymore. ALL of the damage they aim at you will connect now.

I think you simply underestimated the person you responded to. If you want the Cloak to work, learn how to properly time it while spamming it. No matter how much you will be interrupted, it will give you the partial counter-interrupt and enough time to dodge/flee out of sight to attack again. And yes, we're talking about PTS.

You can do that as well - simply use the cogwheel icon at the top-right corner when you roll your mouse over the post.
