Make PVE Harder. Give NPC's the ability to dodge roll.....

With all the changes 1.6 brought into the game, PVE difficulty is a rare occurrence. Mobs are predictable and have limited spells. Why not make PVE more difficult by giving mobs the ability to dodge roll out of our AOE's? This adds a whole new dynamic to mob fights as well as strategies to counter them. Archers stand still until you get too close to them and then back up. So why would they stand still while a Liquid Lightning rains electricity down on them? Casters are the same way.

By making these mobs more "aware" of situations and giving them counters to them, it will make for an incredible PVE experience that PVPer's may actually enjoy as well......

This would help PVE players get more accustomed to this kind of play and could help them discover how much fun PVP can be.

I've seen them roll already quite a bit. Seems to happen most while using heavy attacks

If AOE attack center is placed at specific coordinates, and attack has specified radius it can be calculated if the MOB is inside AOE attack and then calculate closest distance between MOB and edge of AOE.

After that MOB could roll in that specific direction (unless MOB is placed exactly in the very center of AOE, so then it could like roll in direction opposite to the caster)

Skirmisher/Assasin type mobs already dodge roll from time to time. As was said previously, mostly to avoid heavy attacks.

I already have archers and magic users run around corners to advoid my attacks, then they pop out to cast/fire while another npc is fighting me. No matter how hard they make PvE mobs, it will never be the challenge that fighting a person in PvP is.

"This would help PVE players get more accustomed to this kind of play and would help them realize how much fun PVP can be." Wrong, if you don't like PvP in the first place, making PvE more like PvP won't cause you to like PvP anymore. It will only cause you to go find another game you like better.

They should update it for all mobs(except bosses) and for AOE's as well. They could also increase the chance to dodge roll for them so they do it more.

Don't they do that already? When ever I drop an aoe some wise guy always says "scatter" and then I have to go chase them. Even if I pull them in and talon them they walk backwards like they have a parking clamp stuck to them.

I think they even increased the "walkback" distance because I have seen some mobs gets stuck in an infinite walkback loop or walk through walls and get stuck. In particular the magister in bruma will just do loops around the burnt out house without stopping.
