So given this games history of sticking it to people who have done the work prior to a change I probably can guess the answer here, but you never know your luck...

Will the total amount of vet xp my character has earned be taken into consideration and his vet level be re calculated based of the new xp values?

For instance will my vr14 character who has earned 14 million xp immediately be raised to vr 16, given that 150k xp per vet level is 2.1 million xp?

I've stopped leveling my alts in expectation that the answer is no and I'm effectively wasting 150k xp per vet level, but surprised no one is talking about this...

I don't think anyone's talking about it because they are resigned to the fact that it won't happen. But based on PTS, it does seem that XP you have gained since hitting VR14, up to 1 million, will count, as people are reporting logging in on PTS at 150,000 into VR15.

To give some technical background, it seems that the game can count 1 million XP per VR, but only during that VR, so if you're VR11 with 900,000 XP, it only knows of that 900,000 since VR11, not the 10 million you've gained between VR1 and VR10. So when the update drops, that player will be VR12 with 50,000 XP, not VR13 with 700,000 XP.

I like this stance. I hope more people will do this to show their appreciation of the XP change.

Also, that way I have half a month of time to peruse for grinding my alts to V14 before the patch hits without competing for every single grind spot in game. I'd prefer that since it's just more fun to enter IC with a V14 instead of some low veteran rank...

As to the topic question, I would hazard the guess that not many are concerned with it. They just continue playing and know that the veteran grind will become less arduous, which is all most players wanted.

Yes, one does grind out more XP than necessary if considering the new rank requirements. But the XP requirements for CP will not change, so you will continue to grind the same amounts of XP anyways - only with a different target description.

This didn't happen to my eu character copy yesterday.

When I logged in I was at 849999 Xp into vr14 (so 1 xp short). I do have enough on that character though, so I guess they adjusted something

I stopped playing my VR12 character because I assumed that with all the experience I had already accumulated, I would automatically jump to VR14 when the IC DLC goes live. Can @ZOS_GinaBruno confirm if that is how it is going to work?
