DK Resto Staff AoE - 2 slots for survivability.

I've been running a bar setup for a fast kill DW single target, and another for Resto Staff mass solo AoE/hard hitting mobs on my Magicka based NB and recently switched my VR1 DK to the same role. Though with the added survivability of Hardened Armour and Coagulating Blood, I'm wondering what the best 2 combinations of Resto Staff and DK abilities.

As it is on my NB, I've been running Swallow Soul, Sap Essence, Twisting Path, Mutagen, Healing Ward with the Veil of Blades Ultimate. The combination of the siphoning and the heals/shield are enough to keep me ploughing through a massive amount of mobs at a time.

While currently looking at Burning Embers, Draw Essence, Choking Talons, Hardened Armour, Coagulating Blood with the Standard of Might with the same strategy in mind of keeping myself alive while dishing out a slow burn to the mobs in the area, would switching Hardened Armour or Coagulating blood for a Resto Staff alternative be viable? Or as mentioned earlier, and particular combination be more effective?

My DW bar set up for NB/DK single target is as follows.

Concealed Weapon, Impale, Teleport Strike (unmorphed), Inner Light, Reapers Mark, Flawless Dawnbreaker.
Molten Whip, Stone Giant, Molten Armaments, Inner Light, Coagulating Blood, Corrosive Armour.

P.S. I'd absolutely use Proximity Detonation/Caltrops, but I don't PvP ;)

Would love some ideas or theories. <3

    On my dk aoe/heal bar I have engulfing flames, burning embers, ash cloud, hardened ward and blessing of protection
