syphoning strikes leveling up

how does syphoning strikes level up being that it is a toggled power? does it give xp for each weapon attack? or is it giving a specific number of xp over a specific amount of time?

It levels up the same as every skill, by earning xp. That means kills, quests, writs, picking locks, exploration etc. But it must be visible on your bar at the time xp was received.

so i dont even have to be using my weapon to level it up?

Nope, just as long as it's on the bar you actively have up when you earn xp

so one more question...if i have only one bow ability on my bar...will the other bow abilities gain xp at the same pace even though they arent on the bar?

Only stuff on the bar levels up. The weapon will level regardless of abilities used so long as it is equipped. Abilities only level if they are on the bar in use while xp is gained.
