My first system was the Super Nintendo and been gaming ever since. I mostly play on consoles but I really got into Starcraft and Starcraft 2 on PC. But I prefer a contoller in my hands not a big fan of keyboards. So that's why I normally play on console.
Xbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x
I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

    35 here :)

I played mostly Pen n Paper table top RPGs since I was 10 (mainly the german DSA and a bit DnD and Shadowrun), so I am naturally interested in all sort of RPG stuff. My first gaming experience was the GameBoy :)

Knowing @Kartalin as well as I do, I trust his math! It's also interesting how this is inline with age averages I've previously seen for MMORPGs
Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...

Wow, haven't thought about Shadowrun in a while. Liked the books/novelizations better than the game tho
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Going to be 33 in 2 more days xD

I used to only be a console gamer back in the days. My first console was Super Nintendo though before I got that I used to always play regular Nintendo at my neighbors house and the first video game I played was Super Mario Bros.

The first MMO I ever played was World of Warcraft when I started hearing about all the hype when it was new so decided to try it and became hooked and started playing all different kinds of MMOs since then. WoW and ESO have been the only two so far that I stuck with and still play.

On PC NA server it seems like the demographic is older than what I would typically expect for most games. I'm pretty sure the majority of folks in my main guild are over 30, and I know for a fact that there are quite a few over 40, over 50, and at least a few old enough to be retired.

Its probably because most parents are less willing to buy gaming computers for their kids. Most "regular" i.e. cheap pcs don't come with a discreet gpu. And 3-400 dollars isn't that bad for a console.

    I'll turn 20 next month.
The first gaming console/Pc I played on was a Sega Genesis. I have memories of playing Sonic the Hedgehog(original) and Lost World: Jurasic Park (I have no idea why I was allowed to play a game rated 18+ when I was 2 or 3).

First game I owned: Spyro: Year of the Dragon for playstation.

Turning 25 this year, I think it is awesome to see so many older players (totally different take from being out and about and only hearing the older generations talk down on videogames).

As for my rundown of MMO's I've played, it is fairly extensive:
AdventureQuest, Runescape, Sherwood Classic, Sherwood Dungeons, Aion, Anarchy Online, Archlord, Aura Kingdom, Dead Frontier, ESO, EVE Online, Everquest, Everquest II, Dungeon Siege, FF: Realm Reborn, Fiesta Online, Guild Wars, Guilds Wars 2, LOTR Online, MapleStory, Neverwinter, Perfect World, Phantasy Star Online, POTC Online, Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok 2 Online, Rift, ROSE Online, Runes of Magic, Silkroad Online, SW:TOR, TERA: Rising, Trove, WOW, Planetside, Planetside 2, Flyff, and probably more, those are just the names I can look up and remember off hand. Been a long journey lmao. ;)

Remember, the 40+ and over crowd actually watched the ENTIRE genre of online gaming evolve into what it is now (both good and bad).

We've seen this thing grow up from the absolute beginning.

51 here...Started in '94 with AOL Neverwinter Nights (Seekers, best guild experience I've had to date, wish you were here!), The Realm, Asheron's Call (LOVED AC!), WoW from closed beta until 2015, ESO - open beta on.

Hoping to have at least another 10 year run here, but crates and prices have me actively looking at the MMORPG market, or possibly moving back...

I expect to be gaming until my last days. The kids are grown now, so I get a lot more time to indulge, it's awesome :) ... and they, along with my wife play ESO, so we often run dungeons in a "play how you want" way...So much fun!

Over 50. First (computer) game: Pong that we re-wrote for TRASH-80, plus this little sidescroll game blowing up submarines with your destroyer that we wrote ourselves.

I don't guess you count Crystal Castles and Pac-Man as gaming? Played in MUDs on various BBS via dial up modem.

First multiplayer graphical game was the original Diablo. I was an early member of the BNMs (Beyond Naked Mages), where the original idea was to have negative HP and be able to run the dungeon on Hell mode. Then we discovered you couldn't die if you had negative HP (it was possible to mathematically get below 0 with cursed equipment, though it displayed 0), so the goal was to have only 1 HP.
