Hi,

can someone help me with a build to solo pve with NB stamina? I can't defeat solo bosses and etc, I have no sustain, with my templar is no problem and with my DK also, but my NB stamina is a problem.

thanks

NB is by far hardest class to play. Veil of Darkness is your best friend against everything and potions, also stay hidden as long as possible, so you recharge your potions.

I found the bow/dual blade combo works really well for nightblade. Soften the mobs up at range, then finish 'em off with dual weapons and siphon abilities at closer range.

Also with bosses?? they hit very hard, I have no time to kill them and I can't heal my self so gut...

Preface: I have 2 NBs that are both VR1, one is a 2H NB in plate, other is a NB healer (initially leveled as a bow/medium armor/ light dual wield build)

You must use Strife (morphed to Swallow Soul since you are solo) - you need that life drain, along with Soul Shred (morphed to Soul Siphon). This will give you enough sustain weather you are wearing medium or plate.

And honestly, I have found plate to be better for survival on a NB because of the passive under Heavy Armor skill Juggernaut and dumping 40 attribute points into stamina and 9 into health. Yes medium armor gives you more criticals and stamina regeneration but at the end of the day you are solo, so your aim is all about survival not speed in burning down targets.

DW/2H has been working best for me. This is what I use running Solo.

DW - Surprise Attack, Siphoning Attacks, Steel Tornado, Ambush, Killer's Blade, Flawless Dawnbreaker

2H - Wreaking Blow, Siphoning Attacks, Rally, Caltrops, Relentless Focus, Ice Comet

With Stamina NB lacking good class heals I've found Rally to be really important. Soul Harvest, Veil of Blades, and Soul Tether are all good replacement Ults if you don't have the ones listed. I don't spam WB on 2H. I have it there to have an attack on my Buff Bar cause I'm on console and weapon swap is clunky. SA is the main spam skill for single target. I use Siphoning Attacks on both Bars because I AOE with ST against 3 or more mobs, and I don't want to have to toggle it back on after swapping bars.

I have no trouble with my stamina NB in solo PvE. DW/Bow. Bar 1 DW, sap essence, killers blade, rapid strikes, lotus fan, steel tornado and soul tether as my oh crap move. Bar 2 bow, focused aim (snipe), reapers mark, bombard, grim focus, poison injection, and veil of blades.

Basically, for mobs, mark one, grim focus, snipe one, poison another, swap and gap close with lotus, a little tornado and rapid strikes with sap essence on for the berserk bonus. Execute with killers blade when under 25% health.

For quest bosses I can kite with the bow, using grim focus to charge a spectral arrow which hits hard. Then gap close and pop soul tether for health regen while I burn with rapid strikes.

I'm VR 2 and have been using this setup since lvl 40ish. It's been very effective for solo and even group dungeons/pledges. Wearing all medium, in coldharbour I wore skirmisher's bite 5 pieces for the extra weapon damage, and at VR 1 swapped to Hundings Rage for max weapon crit. Attributes are 30/20 health/stamina with armor buffs to both and blue food for both. At VR1 with food, health and stamina were at 17k.

Like has been said 2 handed is great for rally , executioner (instead of killers blade). If you can't or won't use 2h then blur/double take is your friend . Bow + dodge + double take = usain bolt . Stay mobile best form of damage mitigation is to take none. Also think about crafting something like the whitestrakes set if you're very squishy (procs 10k shield at 30% health ) I don't use it but I run 2h.

At Veteran rank, you should have some health enchants or attributes points in health. Helps with the two shoting mobs around: you should be able to survive two or three heavy attacks this way (except those avoidables 10-15k spells and abilities).

With each class, what you need to do is :

    - Get some Veteran rank equipment
    - Get some food (health + your stat) and keep it up at all time
    - Dodge when you can
    - Block when you can't dodge (or don't have the time to do it)
    - Learn to weave your attacks efficiently, if you don't already

Veteran difficulty is harder, and it's a refreshing thing when the "normal" content isn't even worth mentionning when it comes to overall difficulty.

If it isn't the problem, I don't know what to say: my NB is as strong as any of my other characters. I ran around with my bow and almost never got hit except against bosses where I had to run around, dodge and block.

Ambush to drain power to whirl wind ftw.

Drain power adds a damage buff, whirl wind gets DMG bonus on previously dmged opponents.
