Think will become the staple for Templars who are remorseful for the loss of blazing shield. 20 seconds about. 8k damage shield physical / spell I do believe plus healing. The other morph reflects. Ideal for the one handed shield users plus you get increased block and reduced cost. And to top it all off it now costs around 1200 stamina depending on your build.

Where are you getting the idea about a damage shield?

All it does is absorb the next spell projectile and heal for 15% max health. Also increases block mitigation for 8% and reduce block cost by 8%.

I used it to heal and keep the HP up live to keep the Blazing shield power up. Which allowed me to spend more heals and shards for the groups. Now I am trying the defensive stance for reflecting.I am seriously considering retiring the gankme to crafting.

Absorb Magic does not work the way ZOS thinks it does. For some weird reason they think it is a damage shield, but it is not.

The API returns a DMG shield on request which is why you will be seeing one on your health bar. But it never gave one. Think it is some lazy programming to make the absorb effect easier to code? No idea.
