Bug: fishing trophies being used

There seems to be some kind of bug affecting just 1 of my characters. When i catch green/blue fish i can use them and they disappear. This happens even when i know i have caught it before and if i have more than 1 in a stack. I can use them all. I do not get the prompt in the upper right stating it is already in my collections. This also concerns me that my drops of roe may be affected because i filleted at least 200 fish in the last 2 days and got nothing since i noticed the bug.
This only is affecting 1 character. Unsure what changed to cause this to happen. My other character i fish with as of 20 mins ago was acting normally and dropped 1 roe from 104 fish.
