How you can play when so many games around?

uriangelub17_ESO
Honestly? I feel like there are way too many games, you can't stick to one you're already losing on others.

Right now I'm playing Pillars of Eternity, mid game on Divinity, pending Dragon Age... it seems impossible to keep up with all these games that are coming up.

I mean, RPG are so long it takes time to finish them, and just playing it once.

How do you guys handle this?

One game at a time. Enjoy thoroughly, like a good book.

You can't get all the details if you swap game to game.

You don't watch half of Interstellar, then stop and go watch Batman, and then switch back.

Don't worry about the other stuff. It just means when you are done with your current game, you will have a great selection to choose from for your next big game to fully engross yourself in.

I've given up all games until Fallout 4 comes out. ESO is the only title I will play until then. :D I will continue with ESO when I've had my fill of the wasteland. By that time hundreds of titles will be dirt cheap and I'll have my pick of the litter.....if I ever stop ESO. :D

Tough choice to balance. Some MMOs are easier than others to play other things. This one is not great if you plan to keep up with things like champion points. if you do not care about keeping up, then you just come and go as you please knowing your stuff will always be there.

I play EVE online, Ultima Online and Istaria at the same time on the same laptop.
Gave up playing ESO when they re-branded it as ESOTU so we couldn't sue them for our cash back.....

....but it's easy, just play one till you get bored then play the other ect. With age you learn to play them all at same time and when you can't ;)

Ive played tons of games during my ESO time. Thats why they need to expand Enlightment bank, Ive had a couple Holidays too it just sucks why cant we get Enlightment from all the time we are away, loyal/vet/hc whatever you want to call them, get easy 2 CP per day so they are still ahead of the pack like they should be. Not to mention we all know they cant deliver content fast enough either, so I dont personally get it, why we need to log in daily or every 12 day.

I have been attempting to play Skyrim for a couple months now.. but I just focus on ESO. So much to do and see!

As well, I think hopping between games would be bad because I'd forget what is going on in the others and end up all confused lol

    There are other games?

Seriously, though, I've always been the kind of person who pretty much focuses all of my gaming on one game until I feel like I'm done with it. As a bit of a completionist, that can take a while if I'm enjoying the game. I did just go back to Skyrim and create a new character last night because I decided I felt like going back and exploring Markarth and Solitude again. Funny thing is, now that I'm used to ESO I found that I just don't like the controls and UI of Skyrim as much as I used to.

I played Guild Wars 1 for almost a decade without ever buying or playing another game.

Then I played GW2 for 6 months (cause boring).

Going on 1.5 years now into ESO....I'd like to play for another 5+ years exclusively IF they can get their act together.

Looks like they are moving in the right direction with content releases, but that's not enough.

I won't make it to year 2 if they don't fix the PvP server-side lag.

I'm playing Dragon Age. I log into eso every other day to clear my enlightenment so I don't fall too far behind. It's annoying but it lets me focus on the game and play it as long as I need too without worrying about it in the back ground. It's good to have a back up non-MMO to play for when you get frustrated with your MMO.

I usually just focus on 1 game at a time. I'll be playing ESO at least until Fallout 4 comes out and at that point I might switch between the 2. Depends on what I am in the mood for.

Games come out fast, you will never play them all without rushing through them. Take your time, enjoy the game you are playing. Games like ESO potentially have a limited life span and a lot of FPS games lose a lot of multiplayer players after about a year so I try to jump on those when they are new. I dropped Diablo 3 ROS when ESOTU come out. Will probably go back to it some day but there is not rush because it isn't going anywhere.

Other games like Fallout or the previous ESO titles aren't going anywhere and it doesn't matter if you play them when they come out or 10 years later. If a game isn't multiplayer and doesn't require special serves to play what is the rush to play them. Wait till you are ready for them and pick them up cheap. A friend of mine just bought Morrowind (including all of the DLC content) for $5.00 a week ago. It plays just the same as it did when it first came out.

Single player games attract a different kind. Many of us to dabble with a decent title when it comes out, after all many of us played TESO before this. However, many games do not hold up to their predecessors. The recent Dragon Age is a prime example. It looked great in the previews but came up short of expectations. Sad.

I'm very, very particular in my gaming. So no spaceships, shooters, games I have no choice but to play a male, or games with pandas or other anime looking stuff which resembles a cartoon my kids might watch.

Tends to knock out quite a bit of games...and because I suffer some sort of gaming-ADD :p between all my characters and every day I want to play with a different one, makes it hard to get sick of ESO
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

One at a time, and if you do an MMO, use the other as an occasional diversion. Prioritize and realize that you don't have to play everything that comes out. Deciding what to play shouldn't be a stressful situation. If so, you are playing for the wrong reason. Real life adventures are more important.

I am not much into single players.

2015 is the worst MMO year since a long time, so easy handling.

Like most of the others I stick to one game, especially if it's an MMO and I have friends I play/socialize with in game. ESO is that for me now and the only thing in the near future that will take me away will probably be Fallout 4. But even when that comes out, I'm sure I'll be jumping back onto ESO simultaneously, as I find I don't marathon in single player games the way I do in MMORPG's.

I tend to play one game at a time, sorta. I have a game that I play completely by myself and a game that I play with the people that I know. If I try another game, it usually takes a back seat unless I find a reason to switch. It has worked like this for me since 1984 when I got my first computer for high school graduation. As I am an avid TES fan, I don't see me changing to another online game. I will likely take a few days when the next single player TES game comes out but I will still logging on to see my friends.

Since ESO doesn't require sub, it's easy to just step away for a bit, and play other games. I did it with The Witcher 3. Heck, I was paying for a sub last year, and still stepped away to play Dragon Age: Inquisition. I kept my sub running through that too, and got my Tiger.
