No server maintenance

On the weeks where there is no pc server maintenance, the game seems to have even more issues. Me and my guildmates seem to have an increased problem with lag, disconnects, practically making the game unplayable. Does anyone else experience this? All it would take is a server reboot. I don't understsnd why ZOS won't even do simple maintenance when the lack of maintainance causes so many problems.

    There are several current threads about missing NPCs (stablemasters). No maintenance means they stay missing. It's annoying and discouraging that ZOS ignores us.

    No the game performance is consistent for me in that regard.Consistently crappy.

    As far as lag and disconnects, I have seen the occasional loading screen (where if the game doesn't load fast enough, it transfer you to a loading screen to prevent disconnects) as well as some late spells, but of course, since I currently have about 70 processes running according to Windows Task Manager (normal is around 55 when playing ESO), that may have something to do with it as well.

    And then again, since I play in the same time zone as ZOS does, that may also speak something.

    There's a reason major MMOs do weekly server maintenance. :-\

    Conversations like these tend to show up starting on Sunday, but only on Sundays not followed by a reboot.

    Probably not for the reason you think, though. At least, I hope not. That is a sign of an underlying problem with the game servers that really should be fixed. These other "major MMOs"... It is inexcusable that they are still needing to do weekly restarts. Sloppy way to run a server. Inexcusable.

    I can remember when the servers actually did need to be rebooted, and they did so, late in the week. If the servers need to be rebooted, they will reboot them.

    I never have problems on the game. Only for the patches. The second to last maintenance we had I ended up with a Webget request fail. Afterwards once I logged in there was completely no sound anymore. I played like that for a week until I was annoyed enough to do a repair which took 5 hours to complete. I never ever installed addons and I always keep my PC up to date with newest updates. So for them to skip a week or two on a maintenance is fine by me.

    Surely if the servers needed to be restarted they would need to restart them.

    I admit I don't know much about servers, but my impression is they're designed to run for long periods of time and shouldn't need regular restarts. Our servers at work are restarted once a month or so, but usually only when something is being transferred or updated.
