Nope not in the slightest lol. i forecast a 0% chance of a xmas themed zone as this is not a free browser mmo or something lol.

I dont think they would FINALLY release a new zone only to have it limited to xmas. imagine, in a elder scrolls game a heap of orcs joking around with santa hats on? cmon lol lay of dat skooma man =P

They've stated before they have no plan to implement any holidays or themes, whether real or lore.

It was hot topic a few month back, some said they should add real life Holidays to the game, but Zen answered multiple times no, instead of if they ever add Holidays they are going to be Tamriel's Holidays.

I swear on Molag Bal if this happens, I will do nothing except being sorely disappointed. Events definitely but not significant amounts of content locked down to a specific date range.

I prefer content that I can play any time of the year. Many MMO's produce holiday themed content in the form of a limited time event. As content takes the same amount of resources to develop, whether it is holiday themed or not, I would prefer mine without the theme.

Real world holidays are a great way to make TES fans shake their heads at ruined lore. The religious side of Christmas makes absolutely no sense in Tamriel. The cultural side would be tacky and out of place.

I'll gladly participate in Old Life and New Life festivals, though. Some kind of winter solstice celebration would work too, as long as it doesn't include fat bearded men in red costumes.

While I wouldn't exactly want anything Christmas-themed, some kind of festival or event in the non-instanced PVE areas would probably make the world feel fresh and more alive for a while. Apart from quests and instanced content there isn't a lot of community stuff going on in the open world and I really like that part of MMORPGs. Festival events (at least the ones I know) usually give special skins or costumes, and that (apart from mounts) is the only thing that makes me want to grind anything (I couldn't care less about veteran ranks or CP).

We're not against a holiday event... we're against a CHRISTMAS event. And Saturalia shouldn't be celebrated in Orsinium, it's a Wayrest holiday. That's where it should be celebrated.

I actually liked that event in SWG. I put the rewarded vendor in my Life Day furnace in my store.
