Maintenance for the week of October 5:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – October 8, 8:00AM EDT (12:00 UTC) – 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
I started with Templar, then went to Dragonknight, then to Nightblade.. but a few days ago I started my first Sorcerer, and it is the most fun I have ever had. I do a lot less damage than my heavy attack magicka Dragonknight, but it is so much more fun and easy. My clannfear tanks everything, my Hardened Ward protects me from arrows and fireballs, while I nuke entire hordes of monsters with Velocious Curse, Crystal Blast and Shattering Prison.
Well I picked sorcerer because summons made it easy to level up when starting off. Would be interesting to try other classes but not interesting enough to grind all over again.
"Bretons are renowned and talented craftsmen, shrewd merchants, gallant cavaliers, and inventive wizards. They can also be proud and quarrelsome."
I am a bit of an altaholic, and thus tried all the classes... enjoy most of them...
But I guess my favorite is still my main stamina melee nightblade. Even though she kinda feels like the one class most difficult to play on occasion... sure, neat burst damage and nasty backstab attacks, but medium armor lacks a little in close quaters, and there is no good "oh, s#!+" skill like the DKs or templars self-heal, or the Sorcerors bolt escape... and the cloak often only prolongs the inevitable respawn instead of helping you avoid it...
But hey, I am having fun despite, or maybe even because of all that!
"Altaholic"! Genius! I've been looking for a word to describe my natural tendency to create more characters than I know what to do with on every game I play. For ESO, I'm currently sitting at six (and counting, possibly--I've been contemplating adding an NB Sap Tank to my collection...).
I like all the classes for different reasons...which doesn't help because I feel compelled to create an alt that highlights each one of these reasons. Hmm. I think I may need to attend a few "Altaholics Anonymous" meetings.
Favourite Class: None (They all can be molded to fit so many roles.)
Favourite PlayStyle: Melee with some healing ability (A "Paladin")
Favourite Weapon Style: Sword-N-Board (Dual Weapon for DPS Build)
Favourite "Trinity" Role: Tank (In Group) or: DPS (Solo-Play)
Favourite Quote: "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most."; Ozzy Osbourne

EQUALIZE ALL PLATFORMS!
IF ONE HAS IT...ALL SHOULD HAVE IT!! )==================================================( ~MegaServer~>PS4 (NA) ~PSN~>Ace-of-Destiny )===================================================( I don't care what platform it is on...an MMORPG without Text Chat is NOT an MMORPG!
But seriously. Healing is a whole heap of fun in both pve and pvp, not to mention vital and tide turning often in both cases.
However like I always say when people explode into confetti, "I'm confident I can do my best to keep you alive through heavy damage, but even I cannot stop a one shot."
I like all the classes except sorcerer. I started a sorcerer yesterday and didn't see any abilities that caught my interest. My main character is a nightblade since I like stealth but I do enjoy being a templar and also a dragonknight (made one yesterday).
Templar - because they appear to be able to fill any role very well. I haven't played long enough to have a ton of xp, but this is the impression I got & so far they are my fav!
My second character I created is a night blade healer. I never play healers in game but decided I'd give it a shot when I unlocked my second weapon slot. As a shadow nb with a resto staff I absolutely wreck everything and send groups of mobs fleeing in terror while I swap back to my bow and finish em' off. Good fun and surprisingly powerful.
I rotate, depends on my mood how and what to play.
Templar - Full healer and support , a lot of fun in groups
Sorc - I use him for pure AOE grinding and trying to solo the most challenging group content.
NB - I just think its the class with the most flexible skill design, I am close to say this class has it all but he
is lacking for efficient group builds.
DK - My favorite tank for "end content" , whenever my group needs a tank I switch.
The librarian. Any normal class. The librarian only walk around in towns in hunt of new reading
Material and she has anorexia so she dont eat. She dont like weed so no alchemy and she is no crafter.
That one is My favorite so far
If I had to pick one for leveling (and) PVP, I'd go with my Templar healer.
There are a few notes to that tho, I brought her to VR in heavy, wielding a bow as primary, staves secondary. (which was fun for me) Once VR, I barely went through silver and instead grinded her out in Craglorn (no longer possible) completing the switch to resto/resto.
I like her best for what you asked for @Atomix32 because she can keep her distance. In every other MMO I played, I was ranged DPS (archer) and I prefer the distance approach and found ESO lacking a good feel for that, but being healer was close enough to feel I wanted. I also have a stam based bow/dw I 'm messing with and my husband's tank is Templar. I feel they are quite versatile to many play styles.
It really comes down to what you want to play, your own playstyle and finding the fit for you.

If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!
i first leveled up a nightblade (stuck at VR10 because no text chat to find group in craglorn)
so i am now rotating the other 3 classes zone by zone (glenumbra sorc, than templar, than DK. repeating that rotation for every zone until they are also stuck at VR10)
but so far the sorc is amazing! even low level as i am now, i am finding it a breeze to kill things unlike i did my first toon nightblade.
I have to pick Sorcerer... I love the IDEA of nightblade caster, and I kept trying to make it work, but after many attempts trying to like my nightblade and getting into Veteran ranks with it, I finally decided to try a sorcerer. I actually loved it (I didn't roll one at first because lightning is my least favorite lol). I like most of my spells ranged, like a classic mage. I love my ward and instant frag procs. In PvE, I feel nearly invincible shielding and flinging out spells. I didn't bother with pets except to level the skills up. I am V3 now and still having a great time.
EDIT: I haven't tried it in PvP yet so I can't comment there.
The Grinder. Can be Achived with Emot swapping.
Can be hard to get a handle of in the begining but near unstopable in the right hands.
Just go grind the living snot of flagpoles, signes and people.
My most played character this weekend, i was grinding just about everthing.
Nobody going to come up to me and Think the can out grind me.
I have given all classes a good try out (been playing since beta), but my current favorite is Templar.
Just because of the versatility of the class really. Stamina dps build is really good right now, or you can build as a tank, or a healer/mage, and they all work.
It's odd the way it's worked out really, because I tried templar in beta and hated the class, it is only recently that I have tried it again and fallen in love with it.
Sorc is my second choice, very fun to play.
GM - Ghost Sea Trading Co - NA PC
Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.
I play stamina sorc i love creating a Bild that works for stamina sorcerer and the mobikity is amazing. It was my first character i created in ESO ps4 beta and now its again my favourite class
Sorc has been the most fun for me, to the point to level up multiple of them.
However, its solo goodness (and PvP goodness they say) is heavily counter-balanced by being utterly useless in group PvE.
Nobody will ever pick a sorc tank (unless it's some "known super-player"). Even for 4 men I have found people prefer to wait for 30 minutes to get a VR14 <anything else>.
Nobody will ever pick a sorc healer, Templars are just too good. The few groups I have been with a sorc healer always ended in a most tragic way. You know you are in a bad group because they are so desperate they accept any healer.
At DPS role, sorcs always deal about 3-4k DPS less than any other class. Before it got gutted, Negate Magic has been their "free pass" to any Trial content. Now that pass is gone, only reason to ever take a DPS sorc is because your guild does not have other classes online at that moment.
Said that, if you are a very casual player, a pure soloer, a materials grinder etc., sorc is perhaps the most fun class.
Nightblade. I was always the rogue-ish toons in video games. Played a Rogue in WoW for about 5 years. I just love the slow sneaking tactical way of playing i guess.
I love my NB but having issues finding a set up for pve that I like, I have Parkinson's so not the quickest button presser out there so I don't think I will get any further than VR1
Just started a Magika Sorc and loving it so far........ help with a good pve set up would be appreciated.
