Improve the smartness of your summoned creatures

I've come across a problem when using certain skills together. I am a sorcerer which of course that means i use dark magic and daedric summoning skills. I currently use 2 daedric summoning skills which they are to summon creatures to fight with me, to be precise they are unstable clannfear and twilight matriarch. But based on the problem i guess it would not matter on which creature i summon.

This is the problem,

I started using the rune prison skill (from the dark magic) which the purpose of this skill is to trap an enemy for a certain time and the only way the trap will go away is if the time runs out or if the enemy receives damage.

(I am also using two daedric summoning skills that summon two creatures to help me in battle).

So, when i use the rune prison on an enemy they are trapped, the summoned creatures still attack them, which this makes the trap go away. This creates a bit of an issue as i want to trap some enemies and focus on a specific person, but the summoned creatures attack them anyway.

Although this is not a glitch, i think this should be changed so that the summoned creatures do not attack the trapped enemies unless you attack them yourself because right now, i trap an enemy thinking i have some time to focus on the other enemy, but then my clannfear decides to swipe the enemy, therefore the rune prison is now gone.

With regards to other players attacking the trapped enemies, that's fine. The trap would just disappear. But when i am fighting enemies by myself, i would want to use both dark magic and daedric summoning skills together.

Right now, i can't use both the summoned creatures and rune prison because it will be a waste of magicka.

I don't know if anyone else has came up with this problem, or whether you think it's a problem. But i think it should be changed because we are encouraged to use all skills together, to see which skills are best for you, and i think the rune prison skill will be helpful but i cannot use it at the moment.

Summary

What i think should be improved -

The summoned creatures do not attack the enemies if you have trapped them with rune prison.

ONE MORE LAST THING,

There maybe other skills in the sorcerers or other classes that are similar to rune prison, and if there are, then the same thing should happen. The summoned creatures should be smarter and not attack the trapped enemies.

    The myth is true, Sorcerers DO have problems...

    Rune prison does exactly what is meant to do. Now what is unfair is that the DoT do not ends the effect of Rune Cage.

    If you want to have a useful cage, get rid of the pets and their buffs, but you cannot have boths, an encasing skill and the buffs of those pets.

    Well i can see the problem. The creature likes to attack what you targeted, maybe engage one enemy have the crea attack him then use the trap on someone else?

    I dunno but i understand your issue. I doubt you'll see such a change though.

    Im still debating the worth of the summons in the long run. I will keep clannofear though, i like that heal.

    You can command pets to attack the target of your choosing.

    On PC, the default command key is 'Y'

    So in your scenario, you would select your pets' target by holding Y while left clicking on the desired target, then cast Rune Cage on the target you want CC'd. All pets will focus the chosen target until the target dies or you select a new target.

    I do not know the default pet command key for consoles, sorry.

    I like to use both. When i'm battling multiple enemies they usually distract some of them from attacking me, which I don't need to focus so much on dodging and blocking. I then just use my skills and then they're dead.

    But of course there would still be enemies focused on me, and sometimes i find it difficult to battle multiple necromancers at once.

    So that would be when i would use rune prison, so that less necromancers are focused on me because i find it difficult to complete heavy attacks on them when i have to keep blocking or dodging because they attacking me with spells.
