Opinion: Should I stick with my Nightblade tank or templar caster/healer?

I am basically torn between 2 alts that I both really enjoy, and I need opinions. I have an imperial vamp nightblade tank (debating on dropping vamp...), and a breton templar caster.

This will be for both PvP and PvE, but let's focus on PvE dungeon group usefulness primarily if you need to. Otherwise, answer for overall

Side: How do you guys feel about nightblade tanks? Do they seem to hold their own in dungeons/not be a hindrance? Is there currently more need for healer or tank in PvE?

    Why not play both?

Anyway, Healers are always in Demand. So are Tanks, but Tanks are not as needed as a Healer is for most Bosses. But, when you get the Boss that needs a Tank to beat, well, you need that Tank to beat them.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Seriously though, why pick only one? Of course, I'm a certified altaholic, so maybe I shouldn't be answering this question...

The Imperial Nightblade Tank but drop the vamp
Nightblade tanks will be among the best after the next update. No stamina Regen while blocking but with syphoning strikes proc'ing off every attack even caltrops etc, they will best be able to maintain and Regen stamina with blocking. Also go werewolf for stam Regen.

    The Breton Healer/Caster Templar
I'm with the "Why not both" crowd in spirit - I think you made some strong choices for your race/class combinations, but perhaps I'm a bit biased, since I also have an Imperial Nightblade and Breton Templar.

But since I had to vote, I say stick with the Templar, only because we still don't know the meta that will emerge from 1.7 as far as tanking goes. I do agree with the theory that NB tanks will have the best stamina management with a caltrops/siphoning strikes combo, but right now, prior to anyone seeing the PTS, it's still just theory.

If that doesn't turn out to be the case, let's face it, NB tanks are pretty much a novelty in most people's views. I mean no disrespect to any accomplished NB tanks, I intend to use my Imperial NB for that when he hits max level.

Templar healer, however, is the preferred healer for most teams, like it or not, and although Stamina Templars are stronger, Magicka DPS Templars are also in a great place. I don't see anything on the horizon changing that except maybe the nerf to Radiant Destruction.

I personally prefer Templar gameplay over Nightblade anyway, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Just go with your gut and play the one you like the most - you can and should go back to your second choice once you level up your first choice.

    The Imperial Nightblade Vamp Tank
Nightblade Vampire Imperial tank is a far better choice if you want to do both PvE and PvP, i have a one (a breton) and he's strong as hell (Solo all craglorn(except arena) when were vr12 with blue vr11 stuff, 200CP) and i'm currently working on tank/healer build for undaunted Pledge.

And for PvP you'll be hard to kill even against multiple player on you.

I can make my Breton Templar healer a tank with just changing armour and skills, no respec involved. In some cases I've even out healed the Healer whilst tanking.

I have to see how it goes in 1.7, if the boss spawns adds should be a piece of cake because Repentance but failing that carry on with alternating Blazing Shield and block and keeping up Channeled Focus the whole time. I think I actually already tank the way you should in 1.7 tbh.

Anyway, do both if you want, the NB should be a stronger tank but it won't be impossible with your Templar.

Both. But yee gods, get vamp off that tank! ;)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

You seriously play a nightblade vamp tank? I'm curious to know how that works? It seems that a nightblade vamp is pretty much the epitome of DPS these days, so I'm wondering how that works for a tank?

Both are great options, and NB tank is very underrated. I'd just play both. But yea, switch vamp with WW.
