So if I want PVE content I am waiting until 2016?

I am curious the powers that be claim the imperial city add on is ONLY for PVP people. So I am wondering its been since launch that the PVE crowd has had anything other than stuff requiring groups. Craglorn and upper craglorn were aimed at hardcores. IC is aimed at hardcores. So I am wondering ZOS should all us people who enjoy the game outside of hardcore stuff just find something else to do until next year?

I know the next 6 months minimum will be spent first testing IC. Then launching it. Then the months of "balance" that will be required because of the hard to please PVP crowd and the outcry they will have against the FOTM builds. Then probably more game systems updates revamps etc. So are we looking at late 2016 for orsinium?

Hardcores are the paying customers ... nuff said ?
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

If you watch the E3 footage from Bethesda it states that Imperial City, Orsinium and the Dark Brotherhood are coming this year.

Personally I think Orsinium will be a holiday thing with Dark Brotherhood between then and now, but if Bethesda/ZOS stick to what they say then no, you won't have to wait too long!

Remember Imperial City is being released in just over a month on live servers (August 31st.) after a month or so of PTS testing so it will be fairly good "out of the box", as it were.

Don't fret @jamesharv2005ub17_ESO, as a fellow PvEer I am anxiously waiting for Orsinium but it won't be much longer, this year! :).

There is absolutely no way in hell they will be able to put orsinium out this year. If IC isnt even due until late september its going to take months of balancing and bug fixing. Meanwhile people like me (the majority) are also paying customers. Yet we have been completely ignored since launch.

What makes you think IC is due late September? It is coming out August 31st on PC, the date is set in stone. The delay for console launch is almost certainly due to certification of third-party patches.

Remember they've been working on Orsinium for over a year now in parallel with IC and DB.

IC is an extension of the existing game, not a "whole new meta" as it were. Balancing will be done internally and on the PTS during the month or so it is on there. I think you're being unnecessarily pessimistic here.

Bethesda have committed to IC, Orsinium and DB this year and I fully believe they will do it.

The Imperial City DLC game pack will be coming to PC/Mac on August 31st, Xbox One on September 15th, and PlayStation®4 on September 16th.

Indeed, the Imperial City add couple of PVE stuff, but in a PVP zone... which is weird and not egal to a total map of new content.

Also, they said that the Imperial City add only 2 hours of quest line...

This was totally unnecessary and full of crap. MMORPGs offer all kind of content, if you dont like some, take a break. I still think 12 day Enlightment is too short, people needs to take proper breaks like 1-2 month and be happy to come back, as knowing they can farm CPs like mad.

I understand your concerns but I do not think it will be as late as you believe. IF they use the time wisely they will get a month of free testing for IC, and they should only need a month after that to further fix the bugs that went unnoticed. It's ultimately up to us how quickly this process goes. We no longer have to pay a monthly fee which means everyone has free access to the PTS on PC. We all get a free preview of the DLC and need to break it so they can clean it up before they launch it.

Is this really what it's coming to?

After the immense content drought of 2015, we finally get new DLC, and the kids are throwing a tantrum which one we'll get first?

If there's one thing this game has more than enough it's damn PvE quests. I'm an exclusive PvE player and say let the PvP folks have something for once.

Look craglorn, upper craglorn the vet dungeons DSA etc is all hardcore stuff. The non hardcore PVE players HAVE BEEN IGNORED SINCE LAUNCH. Meanwhile every patch has stuff for pvp. New balances for pvp. New gear for pvp. New ways to earn AP for pvp. Fixes for pvp. Yet pvp people claim they have gotten nothing since launch...

Um...i am casual and I was subbed the whole time I was playing. To say hardcore players are THE paying customers is a pretty silly statement. I am sure all the casuals who are ESO Plus would find that argument absolutely fascinating.

Are they giving the game away for free to new and casual players now? I must have missed the announcement about that...

Yet ZOS seems hell bent on catering only to them. From craglorn to dsa to IC its nothing but hardcore end game stuff. Now we are told even if we want to go to IC we will be unable to earn any stones as you will be killed for them. I have 150ms latency due to my internet connection to the server. That means pvp is simply out of the question. So IC will give me absolutely nothing but a headache. Why couldnt they wait to raise the level cap until new PVE content is out as well to give everyone a fair chance?

    The original quote:
I've seen this mentioned a few times in various threads now, so i'll clarify some here. Imperial City is meant for the PVP player - it's their turn for some love. If you love PVE and are clamoring for more of that type of content, the Orsinium DLC will be exactly what you want.
... which means PVE players got love, at some point. When exactly?
Craglorn, phase 1 of the Justice system and perfect roe for fishermen aren't recognized as roaring successes that could qualify as 'love' for the community. Maybe he was refering to the $30 mounts.

Oh also my bad its late August not late September. I still dont see how they can have IC running smoothly by December. So Orsinium is looking like spring 2016. It will have been almost 2 years at that point since solo casuals got anything.

First they have to destroy the justice system by introducing open pvp across the PVE zones as well. So yet another feature only the best at pvp will be able to enjoy.

I dont mind the whole pvp aspect. I just dont want to loose all my stuff if I die from a lag spike or something. Thats what these guys dont get. They insist unless they can kill unskilled people AND loot them they simply cannot enjoy the DLC.

Why do I have a sudden urge to quote Rodney King?

C'mon guys...no need to reduce this debate to name calling. I too am really looking forward to new PVE content not forcing me to group and not involving PVP. Its the only reason I am checking these forums regularly.... so I know when to come back and resub. I seriously doubt it will be left until next year, but I have no illusions about seeing an announcement anytime in the next three months. ZOS will have their hands full getting IC up and running, and though I am not a PVP player as such...i am aware how long IC has been expected and yeah...i don't begrudge the PVP crowd getting some cool stuff to do.

Raising the level cap is a cheap an uninventive way for them to get you to make new gear. They just want to try and resuscitate their busted and unbalanced PvP.

Right ya I dont get it. I guess I am supposed to grind the same old dungeons for VR14 gear at VR16. Will they raise the cap again with orsinium? Probably not right? The gear from orsinium better be just as good if not better than the gear from IC as well.

The PvE dungeons are probably added to give PvE players at least some incentive to pay ZOS money. Whether you think it is worth the money is entirely up to you.
