Why skip on maintenence?

I hounestly ask ZOS why they keep skipping on maintenence on the servers?
As a player I like to have a good and smooth game expiernce. With no maintenence the lag builds up, and especialy for people with a bit less speced PC's.
Just do a restart and refreshen the server once a week, as we alle expect and hope for.
It's been bugging me for a long time now and you keep pushing it forward.
Why is this choise being made?

The performance in Cyrodill has been consistently execrable for most of the last year regardless of maintenance,,graphical settings or the PC I used.Also the usually pve issues have been there at all times also. I played it on 3 different PCs with quite a big difference in power . There was not much difference. Seeing all abilities not working at all and people eventually getting bored with that nonsense is the same at 30FPS as it is at 120fps.

Because there isn't any proof for it. Their servers can defrag and clean caches without needing to be taken down for maintenance. The fact is, most of the bugs and fixes have been identified are coming in the next major update, so there's no need for an incremental one this week.0 -

I have spoken to more people who notice lag, especialy in group dungeons etc. increase when they pospone the maintenence.
