Question about Alliances

After you complete the main story and take up Cadwells offer of being able to go into another Alliance zone, are you still limited to your initial alliance.

For instance, my character is part of the AD alliance, however I have a low level alt in EP which I would like to level at some point.

Most of my friends are on the AD alliance, but let's say I got my alt to V1 & kept completing the main story until I get to Aldmeri dominion, would I then be able to group up in PvE instances with friends from the AD Alliance?

Or are there essentially 4 mega servers, one for each Alliance, and then one for PvP?

Your characters are locked to the alliance you chose when creating them.

The Cadwells quests simply let you play those stories with the characters but all restrictions to faction such as grouping still remain. Each Cadwell version of a zone is a seperate instance/map to the normal versions so you can't interact with other factions players.

Hope that helps, any more questions feel free to ask.

Ok thanks, so essentially when I get on my alt, I can only use it to try and find my friends in the same PvP campaign and whoop them :P.

Yup! Currently Cyrodiil is the only place to meet friends from other factions.
It is also kind of fun to gank your friends while they're grinding in Crackwood Cave... or so I'm told. :innocent:
