It's pretty lenient. 5 seconds of automatic, no interaction required and complete immunity after a stun or other disabling effect including pulls, and 8 seconds when breaking free actively. Can you elaborate on why you think it is terribly designed?

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!
