A Request for ZoS regarding alt leveling.

Dear ZoS, i would like to make a simple request, regarding Alt leveling. I find my self extremely bored when leveling an alt since all we can do is repeat all of the same quests and leveling content. So i would ask for any kind of new system regarding alts and their leveling process. I know not all will agree, but if we could at least be given the choice of 2 diferent methods, the old one and a new one, both crowds would be pleased. BTW while talking with guildies and randoms, i find a lot of people and myself would also like some kind of barber shop and something that could be implemented within the crown store that would allow your character racial and gender change. Let me guess, the next thing you'll want is account-wide skill points, and account-wide achievements, and account-wide skill unlocks, and account-wide PvP ranks, and..... You see where I'm going with this. Heaven forbid that you actually have to put in some time and effort to get something.

While I don't have an opinion on this thread's topic, I will give a little free advice...

Posting on the internet is the worst way to practice "freedom of speech".
People will disagree with you just because they are bored.
If a person can't handle "bashing"...well...I just talk to myself, that way I usually get the answers I want.

I actually ignore quests on my alts for the most part and just grind and stuff to level. Only my main focuses on doing all the quests and getting all the achievements he can.

There is no such thing as "freedom of speech" on a private internet forum.

But back to the main topic:

Once you hit VR, the other faction lands become a mindless grind to VR10 and one tends to pay much less attention to the zones and quests.

That's why i leveled 3 main chars, one in each faction, to be able to experience each faction from the "ground up". It actually does make a big difference in how you are immersed in the content.

I also belong to 5 different guilds, most of which are cross faction. While my characters are loyal to their respective faction, i as the player am very much indifferent to their struggles.

Its not that i cant handle getting "bashed", certain people just need to be aware that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, besides this is a request for ZoS to hear or ignore, they are the king that rules over the virtual world of ESO, those that agree should say so, those that do not as well, that way they will know which direction to take. Just dont be an ass about it, because there is no need, you will be heard either way. Btw thanks for the advice

and all good to you man, and i think if you do have an opinion on something, you should voice it instead of smothering it inside, but thats just me.

You are VERY confused.

You have the freedom of speech to say what you want. Others have the freedom of speech to comment on it. You fundamentally do not understand what freedom of speech is. Freedoms do not mean others have to agree or even respect.

Then there's the fact that all of this has nothing to do with freedom of speech since this is a privately owned forum that can impose restrictions on allowed speech.

How about Cadwell´s Platinum:

If you have leveled your 8th toon to VR16 you can go to the harborage and choose one char which you can redesign from the start on: class, race, looks, etc.... You will keep your achievements, skillpoints and any other progress you had before.

You are VERY confused.

You have the freedom of speech to say what you want. Others have the freedom of speech to comment on it. You fundamentally do not understand what freedom of speech is. Freedoms do not mean others have to agree or even respect.

Ok, now define me how further the disrespect towards others opinions can go, not agree, not agree and swearing, not agree swearing and trying voice yourself over it, censorship even? My point is, just like everything in life, all is relative, even dictionary definitions for words, what i tend to do as a person is to give freedom to others voice themselves and be respectfull about it without the use of sarcasm or irony for mochery of the other opinion, but then again i used to get hit very hard on the bum with objects such as belts and wooden spoons, so i guess my definitions of freedom of speech and respect might differ a bit due to that, everything is relative afterall i guess...

You can. Well sorta. Not officially.

I've been on many cross faction dungeon, dolmen and skyshard runs in Cyrodiil. You have to be careful with your "friendly" fire, especially in the confines of a dungeon, but otherwise it's a lot of fun.

Nothing quite like the confusion caused by a 15 player mob made of players from all 3 factions.

The most memorable outing was probably the time we captured a scroll and ran it back to the Temple of the Ancestor Moths and then took turns defending it.

Meh Slater, just wave your hand in the air in a dismissive gesture for those that run around here like some old Catholic School priest with a ruler in hand and a big 'ol stick up their arse. You said nothing about getting a free ride, some people just like to assume...and you know what that gets them.

As far as your post goes, I would love to see some alternatives as well. For example in LOTRO, once you finished Mines of Moria, you could choose different routes to go to get to the same place in the end. Should I do Lothlorien this time or maybe I'll go Mirkwood instead. Hmm Dunland or The Gap of Rohan and Great River for variety.

Maybe they could at least split Cadwell's Silver and Gold, up the xp in them and then we'd have the option of say doing DC or EP and could alternate for a bit of a change. Then they could add new content in such a way as to give further options to progression.

Leveling wouldn't be so bad if every quest gave you XP -lots of them just tell you to do something else lol That and I find the main story sort of boring and cliche :P

My new alt, Super Mario Bro, is not taking a single quest. He's a short, fat, imperial templar. He throws fireballs, hunts mushrooms, rides a green guar named yoshi, and stacks movement speed. Having a blast.

While I know they would never do this (because repeating the same quests is "content") I would actually like to see an option to boost a character to lvl 50 if not max level after you've reached max level on at least one character (similar how you can skip the intro quest once you've done it once)

With how some of their balance passes can be rather drastic, it would be nice to have a quick way to get your alts to a certain level. I've repeated these quests so many times now I can either grind or grind the quests neither of which is terribly appealing. I'm not saying that these power leveled characters deserve to have all the skyshards and stuff given to them when it happens, just lvl 50 with the appropriate attributes.

The same time this happens, I would like to see them make the cadwell questlines be optional allowing you to pick the next faction you visit rather than being locked into a certain track. Skipping the 1-50 content and then getting to pick and choose between quests in the other two factions would allow players to allow themselves at least a little variation.

I've played all the way through AD and DC, working slowly on EP (it's the only new content I have left) so I don't feel the need to keep repeating it over and over just because I would like to try PvP and Endgame with a different build.

Power level 1-50 wouldn't mess with anyone's CP earn rates so there wouldn't be an imbalance that way and I can't honestly think of any way it could impact those who choose to play their alts all the way through.

Won't happen though, so this is all just pie in the sky theoretical discussion.

I've probably leveled up ~15 alts for Non-Vet PvP and I honestly don't mind it at all. I usually spend a week grinding quests for skill points and grinding mobs for levels. Then I spend 2-3 weeks doing nothing but PvP. By the time he hits 50 I'm already tired of being radiant destructed and sieged by fire ballistas and I welcome the week of Tamriel questing and scenery. I just put on a podcast and mindlessly play the game and level up a new class. It helps by rotating factions and classes. I rarely play the same class in a row. I usually play a different class and try to come up with a different and unique build and the first few days of PvP are ugly. However, once you change it up a bit you really start to enjoy the crazy builds and perform pretty well. Idk, I'm fine with leveling alts and don't really mind it at all. That's just my opinion, though.
