Who would like a Party Finder List like FFXIV

FFXIV has two methods to make a party, firstly like ESO you have the group finder and secondly there is the party finder which is a sort of billboard where you can list LFG or LFM and for what content etc and then list it and people can browse and them join if they are the right class and lvl matching it.

This not only would cut out spam if they ever did add a chat box to the game but it makes it much faster and efficient than using the LFG finder.

On my EU server most people are very nice and friendly, more than any other mmo i've played.

I hated how they have the party finder titles if ESO has a similar party finde minus the negative titles only postive or basic titles only like "looking for people or a group for a dungeon" none of the crap talk

Yeah, I shouldn't have generalized the entire community that way. However the experience I had seen all too much on a NA server I played was disappointing. But I came from a great FFXI community so the change seemed more dramatic to me in the way players act toward each other. To be honest though; this was mainly to do with how the game systems in terms of items and battle worked. It was very restrictive and nowhere near as flexible as this game.

So ultimately, a Party Finder or similar system would be very beneficial to ESO and I can also see it being a more enjoyable feature in this game compared to how it was for me in FFXIV. Which is mainly due to ESO being far more self-reliant in that you don't need to rely on a single Tank and/or Healer fulfilling those roles, a lot of the time you can a help yourself so to speak and are encourage to do so.

I would like both the Party Finder and the Instance queue system from FFXIV. Both are miles ahead of what we have in ESO.

That looks like a great idea. If some of the issues with the FFXIV one are based on players trash-talking in their LFG posts, then a simple solution would be for ZOS to provide a selection of pre-made phrases like "LF1M", "For Leveling", "Speed Run", etc and not include a free-text box.

I believe this would expand options available to us and its great to have extra choices to choose from, it would be a nice feature to be seen implemented in the future.
I love when i get to download 15gb of worthless data just to get the 500mb patch, its just like waiting for the whole cake to be done when all you want is just the little cherry on the top, hmm Yumi!

I played FFXIV both before and after the Party Finder was added. It's an awesome feature, and ESO could IMO greatly benefit from it.

Yes and it would be cool if they did it in an Elder Scrolls way. Like have an actual board you can go to in major cities. Another thing that would be cool is if the tool we already had actually worked :( Great idea though

Yes to the possibility to browse players to INVITE them, but I don't want a feature that will let people join my groups automatically.

I will generally take anyone, but if people are just messing up everythng, not doing their job and just following for the exp / loot, I want the freedom of not inviting them.

My favorite group builder up to this day remains FFXI's, because it was the leader building the group, and inviting the jobs he wanted. For example, if my group build did not favor inviting a thief, I did not.

The system was built so you could find ANYTHING, just type /search all RDM 41-43 and you saw all the Red Mages in that level range, see if one was looking for group, and if not, you could send messages to the others to try and get them even if they're not flagged up.

All that auto-grouping is bringing more harm than benefits in my opinion.

    on topic:

Yes. The current finder is complete and utter crap, releasing it in it's current state was yet another mistake ZOS.
