Every update has permission issues

Every single update in the last 3 weeks has resulted in a permission issue on my PC that was resolved by repairing the game and redownloading 10GB+ of data. Why do Zenimax insist on sending out updates which are broken/configuring themselves incorrectly? I have already checked the folder's and game's metadata and I have read/write access to all files, so zenimax, please don't try to blame my system

If the issue is limited to you, it might be fair to blame your system (or firewall or a/v). Just saying.

Yeah, what permission issues are you seeing? I never see permission issues, and I run and install as a standard user. I never have to Run as Administrator or use elevated permissions.

patch downloads then it starts spewing out crap about client doesn't have permission to change the files. obviously it does actually have access because the repair function fixes it.
