dear zenimax, regarding the lag in cyrodiil pvp

it has been 2 years now..

I come from a game called runescape.
Let met tell you what happened to runescape when the developers were too stubborn and pulled their own plan.
RUNESCAPE DIED! they were at around 147k players online every second of every day,
died down to 39k per day c:

runescape finally started to listen. BUT ITS TOO LATE FOR THEM.

FIX THIS LAG PLEASE!!! EVERYONE IN PVP WANTS THIS PLEASE

    Well see, that lag free environment in runescape could be a result of the players not being around to cause lag.

    On the other hand, lag in Cyrodiil can get rediculous just by spamming certain skills. So there is definitely a problem.

    I know how to fix it! Put a timer on AoE skills in Cyrodil.....

    They already told us they have no idea at all as to how to fix the coding issues that are causing the game to lag. There is no ETA on lag being fixed because of this. No amount of upgrading server capacity has any impact at all.

    Well I would argue that adding servers to perform more calculations in Cyrodiil would actually help mitigate the lag by a huge margin, but servers are incredibly expensive at over $100,000 a rack. (Dependent on hardware of course)

    According to Brian Wheeler, they've found some unnecessary LOS checks in the coding for some AoE skills, which could help with the lag. It just beats me how after months and months, perhaps even over a year, of pvp players saying AoE spam is causing lag, after reducing pop caps, removing deer and torch bugs, dropping pop cap again, they finally decide to take a look at the coding for AoE skills to see if theres a problem there! :/
