Suggestion: Werewolf Tanking...

Hi there!

I've been leveling my Werewolf tank alt (Bosmer Sorcerer, currently VR3) and have been enjoying it immensely. Several skill morphs in the WW skill line seem to synergize BEAUTIFULLY with tanking.

However, the one thing that seems missing is the taunt. IMHO, the Claws of Life skill (Infectious Claws morph) would be a perfect place to add a 15 second taunt.

What do you guys think? And has ZOS ever commented on this issue? I looked around for a while earlier today but couldn't find anything specific to werewolves and taunting.

    Would love to tank as a werewolf. Would give me a reason to actually use the skill other than just having Werewolf status for the stamina regen.

    Zos is staying away from aoe taunts. I would prefer feral pounce changed to a taunt... of course along with toggle of werewolf. #removewerewolftimer2015 #werewolfproblems

    That's a good point. I was thinking it wouldn't be "technically" an AoE since it's a cone, but if they're wanting to stick with single-target taunting that would break their meta.

    But what about adding the taunt to Howl of Despair? As a single-target skill (along with the damage boost synergy for your allies) it seems like a good place for it. And the knockdown doesn't work on bosses, so I don't see it being unbalanced in terms of utility.

    Thoughts?

    I shudder at the thought of tanking as a werewolf in its current state. You take more damage, you dont have access to any class healing or shielding abilities, you dont have access to 1h/shield's blocking benefits, and after 30 seconds or so you suddenly change back, stunning you for about 4 seconds during the transformation animation.

    Now, if they made werewolf a toggle with no limited duration and made some further adjustments to the abilities, MAYBE it could suffice as a tanking option... but I dont really see it happening. Werewolf is intended for damage output (which it still lacks at compared to any class/weapon abilities).

    It seems to be working REALLY well with my build thus far, but - like I mentioned in my first post - I'm only VR3. It might completely fall apart at end game.

    If that's the case, I'll just go full DPS with this toon and roll another one for tanking. LOL!

    But, I appreciate the input. ;)
