Two handend Templar build?

Hello brothers and sister

today i first lvl up my first toon to lvl VET1 is a sorcerer magicka dps, but before i make this toon my main i whant to try a melee dps, i love the paladin play style.

im looking for a two handed hybrid, today in the moorning i saw a templar runing with a two handed sword smashing everything with golden lights.

please gime some advice to make a nice templar to lvlup.

Sounds like you're looking for a DPS stamina build, correct? Or by "hybrid", do you mean you'd like a Healer/DPS or Tank/DPS?

For Stamina DPS, here are a few skills to look into:

Momentum, morph to Rally (2 handed skill tree, last skill)

Critical Charge, morph to Crtical Rush (2h skill tree)

Puncturing Strikes, morph to Biting Jabs (Aedric Spear skill tree)

Restoring Aura, morph to Repentance (Restoring Wrath skill tree)

Reverse Slash, morph to Executioner (2h skill tree)


These are only a few skills, and you probably won't be able to unlock some of them until you've leveled up more. The rest depends on your play style. Here are a few links to give you some ideas about the different builds out there, but keep in mind that most are geared towards endgame content; I'd recommend just focusing on the skills these guides recommend as well as general advice on how to use them effectively:

thanks bro,

by hybrid i want a two handed meaby magicka dps.

i will try it, i was shocked wen i see this amazing templar using a Two handed mace charging and splashing golden lights to everywhere owning Vet 1 mobs, he was using some kind of blazing aura so when he charge the enemies he use some Magicka spells i think.

what race do you think it will by the best? dunmer? breton? i have the explorer pack.

i cant ask to he about his build because he dont awnser my questions meaby he was turned off the voice chat.

today i will create a new character i will try to do a "Ret Paladin aka WOW" two handend with the power of the ligh.

@Sagatho You can actually morph several of the Templar skills to do damage based off of stamina (including the light spear abilities you mentioned, Aedric Spear skill tree), so I'd actually recommend, for full-fledged DPS, going mostly stamina. The first link I provided will probably give you the best DPS tips for a stamina build--it looks insanely powerful, might just have to roll another Templar (mine's a magicka healer atm) to try it out!

Even though I'm fully specced into healing and magicka on my Templar, I use 2h as my backup and it wrecks. I can only imagine what it would do on a stamina build. Btw, Biting Jabs (stamina morph of Puncturing Strikes, Aedric Spear skill tree) is probably going to be your favorite skill/spammable. I have the other morph because I'm a Healer, but it still does crazy damage and affects multiple enemies plus it stuns.

Go with whatever race you like honestly. I have an Argonian because I wanted a lizard . Bretons and Dunmers have magicka passives, but if you're going Stamina (which I'd recommend for max DPS), Imperial, Bosmer, Redguard, and Orc all have +stamina passives. It won't make or break you in the end, just something to consider if you're a min/maxer.

If its melee magicka dps, then I would use

Solar barrage
Blazing shield
Critical rush
Puncturing sweep
Repentance

Use critical rush for gap closing, Blazing Shield for both damage mitigation and damage, solar barrage and Puncturing sweep for aoe damage and spot heals. I'd use repentance for the resource though magelight or Rune focus would make an excellent subsitute as well.

I would use remembrance for ultimate, though for an melee dps, Crescent sweep is amazing.

I then will use 5 light, 2 heavy gear, with the gauntlets and shoulders to be heavy and the rest Light to make it look like the crusader tier paladin from WoW
