Mages Guild Quest, Simply Misplaced, Bugged??
I can't get this quest. I'm lvl 29 and rank 4 in the mages guild and it wont give me this quest I've talked to Valaste and she asks me if I'm ready for the first test but my only chat option with her is goodbye. How do I get this quest, is it broken? Anyone else have this problem??

What does your quest journal say to do?
Is there a marker in your compass to tell you where to go?
Have you tried googling your quest to see what to do next?
Have you asked in zone (if you're on PC)?
Have you submitted a ticket to ZOS to see if they can help?The Legendary Nothing0 -

I haven't even done any Mage Quests at all. I just Googled "Mages Guild Simply Misplaced" without quotes and it was the first link to the uesp article.

Ya, it's got to be bugged. I've googled everything I can find on it but nothing helps. As far as I can tell Arch-Mage Shalidor wont appear to give me the quest. I've tried to bypass him by going straight to Valaste as some guides suggest but she just tells me she's finished translating the tome and asks if I'm ready for the next test yet gives me no option to say yes or accept any quest. My character is lvl 30 and I'm lvl 5 in the mages guild so there is nothing on my end that should be holding this up, that I know of. What a bummer, ZOS is not to good at responding to tickets either.....
