Xbox One: How to use Collectibles?

I received the "Scaly Durzog Hide" collectible today in Toothmaul Gully, I don't know how to use it to get it out of my bag. Can anyone help me with this? Pressing the "A" button doesn't do anything and I brought up the "Actions" menu with the "Y" button but, nothing in there either.

No option to use it in the inventory.

There might be a few UI options on items that are unavailable. Put a bug report to ZoS as you should be able to "use" it to get registered on collectible achievements.

@torres and @Caspur although you can not use them now. I suggest keeping them. Some are difficult to find, so if you destroy them now it could suck when it gets fixed and you can't find another one

Yeah, I've gotten 3 different ones.. all unuseable.. and unbankable... even though I have some in bank already.

I read on PC you could click on them and then they were added to achievements? Not seeing any option like that for Xbox however.

Trophies or collectables just sit in your inventory and some perform in-game sounds or actions but it's not a "collection" item. It's a collectable that is not the same like mounts, pets and collection costumes.

I actually submitted a report on this on Xbox yesterday, in my case it was 'inert egg' that I can not use and wont be applied towards the achievement. I guess the issue must be all of these type items, but as MissBizz stated its definitely worth hanging on to until they get this issue fixed.

Maybe they should send us a bundle of gold for the extra room we need to use for more bank slots on things we could just trash.

Sometimes you can sell them. I decided to delete a character I wasn't happy with but she had caught the rare fish in Stros Makai. I couldn't bank it and apparently only she got the benefit in the achievemants so I sold it for a bunch of gold i could put in the bank for her surviving sisters.

Speaking of, when did they add a bank to the Outlaw Refuges? I hadn't noticed them before console launch but it is nice to see a friendly money lender there when I want to bank the things I just laundered to be able to bank them.

I've noticed that when you loot an item for the collection achievements it checks it off even if you sold it. I've looted 3 already and still have credit for them.

Thank you Smurf, I figured out that they don't do anything but, they should count towards the achievements automatically when you get them. Some of mine have automatically checked off these achievements and others (Scaly Durzog Hide) have not.

Can't use/add any of them on Xbox one. Also can't put in bank.

I have 2 more clockwork bits in bank. worried if I took one out I could not put it back.

I'll turn off Netflix on my Xboxcheck right now (working from home today). I'm used to "using them" and having them get used up in PC version so I didn't even look.

I got credit for the Gyro, but not the durzog hide or chattering skull.

Collectibles are not properly counting for the Collectible Trophies achievements; it seems that no Use option is available to add them to the counter.

(What should happen is that you should be able to "Use" one of these items from Inventory, at which point it is added to your Achievement counter and removed from your Inventory.)

This is what I had thought too. It does seem that even though there is no option to use them, they still register under the achievements tab. There's just a certain one that I had (Scaly Durzog Hide) that did not register and I am still not sure if it was just the item I picked up or if it is an issue with every copy of the item for every player.

Edit: I see that @traigusb14_ESO2 also has/had a durzog hide that did not register and a chattering skull. So it's not just me.

This is a problem because they are hard to find and bag space is so valuable. I sold mine to a merchant because I was tired of carrying it around.

I had a few Trophys and they even where in the achivements, then I sold them, thinking we dont need to "Use" them, but now I dont have any trophy achivements.
Do not sell your trophys, no matter if its fishes or other items.

I've had around 12 collectables in my inelventory, I destroyed them. I can't have 12 nventory slots filled any longer and my bank is already full of provisioning materials so I'll get them again... Hopefully

Delete the item and it will still be marked in your achievements. Once it's picked up it counts. You are good to delete it

Fish are different.

You only has to hold them to count... then you could bank them and use them on your other characters too!. then sell.

The monster collections were always a "use item" and used up. .though you could bank extras and give to other characters.

On Xbox fish seem to be working the same way as PC... only gotten a few so far. So far so good. haven't tried to bank them.

monster collections.. I have about 12 now. some are counting by just having them in inventory some are not... can't bank them anymore. The ones I have in bank from before transfer can come out, but not be put back in.

Not sure what other people are doing or seeing. If you loot the Trophy or Collectible, it gets checked off in the achievements. And it sticks.

There is just no 'Use' function on Console.

There is just no 'Use' function on Console.

There a some that are not registering for the achievements. When you pick them up they just never register.

Yeah when you loot them they count so its safe to sell them

Add me to the list that the Durzog Hide hasn't been counted for the achievement after looting as well. I've looted other collectibles that HAVE counted, so far this is the only one that hasn't checked itself on the list.
