Visual representation of gear progression for light armor

I love how heavy armor evolves over time so that as its physical protection increases, it becomes more epic in appearance. This feels like I'm going from plowshares beaten into a minor form of protection by some farm boy at low levels, all the way up to master crafted art beautifully created by a skilled artisan.

However, light armor doesn't offer physical protection. I feel like the best visual appearances on light armor are at low level. Where we go from slutty wood elf at low levels up to a prudish grandmother in her flannel robe at high levels.

I find it so hard to find attractive light armor at high levels. We know that our protection in light armor is all magical, so can't we admit that it doesn't need to be more rugged?

More than anything, I would love to be able to craft my vet level armour using visual styles from lower levels. I wish they would introduce some way to do this. It would also provide a far more diverse choice when crafting, rather than being stuck with one single option per style for your current level.
I'd like my grubby nightblade to be able to craft the less sleek armour styles of level 10, rather than having to wear a silky looking v1 shirt.

Agree wholeheartedly. I wonder sometimes whether heavy armour offers artists an easier task. The pieces of heavy armour are rigid and metal can be burnished or polished or engraved or cast etc. Whereas cloth... well it flaps in the wind. I wish they'd think on embroidery and metallic threads and applique and weave. And whilst some pieces of light armour are quite good, to my eye, none compare with the best heavy armour. Light armour always looks dowdy by comparison.

I don't know if you were referring to a barbershop / image design feature or actual hair, but...

Does anyone else feel limited to a couple of female haircuts and a single male haircut that are pleasing to them? I understand that long flowing hair can cause clipping issues and become problematic for asset designers. But I would think there should be plenty of male hairstyles in this game that are more natural and realistic than a mohawk?

Character customization is such an important part of being able to immerse yourself into an RPG. When I go to my log in screen 6 of my characters have the exact same haircut, because I couldn't find another that I wanted to stare at for hours and hours while I played.

And my characters are way too pretty to wear helmets, so don't even waste your time suggesting it. :)

I agree... they need to allow players to use previously acquired 'styles' like DCUO to alter the appearance of currently equipped items- this would solve the problems and give players OPTIONS in customization. Let's say you are wearing a Light chest but prefer the look of the Medium chest but need Magicka stats... you should be able to, if you had previously acquired that medium chest piece 'style', to be able to change the Light to Medium appearance but retain the Light stats.

And make it so that crafters can convert items to any style they have learned. I have the Imperial edition so I can convert anything to Imperial, but would like it to be so for other styles too.
