I'm pretty desperate for it too, I made my sorc a Breton (Always play Breton in the single player games so why not?) but now I want to turn her into an altmer or bosmer, I can barely stand playing her for some reason, especially in the veteran dominion content. Doesn't help that her hairstyle clips through her staff and shoulder armor too..Desperate for Roleplaying servers to bring open world non-organised RP to Elder Scrolls Online. Please ZOS.0 -

It is unfortunately not a service that we offer at the moment. You have here an idea. What I can suggest here is to voice this on our official forum and discuss this with fellow fans. If you gather enough support, your idea may be taken into consideration for future game improvement features. I am very sorry for this, it is in popular demand, so really go on the forum.
This is deeply troubling.
I mean the suggestion that popular demand on the forums may impact gameplay design.
It should not.
This forum demonstrates on a daily basis there is no correlation between popular and good ideas.
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!1 -

I am not saying there won't be any great mages of "stamina" races, or great fighters of "magica" races. It maybe a bit less "easymode", but its quite doable... I am a lore-hardcorefanboy, and I suppose changes. Lore-conform changes.Race change, name change, appearance change, gender change. Something every single mmo need no matter what the lore-hardcorefanboys say.
Everyone can change their name, all they need is to establish a new name, maybe bribe some officials to "loose" all paperwork mentioning the old identiry... - thus namechange would be lore conforming!
There was a "facesculptor wizard" in skyrim, so clearly "plastic sorcery" is possible in the elder scrolls setting, thus appereance change is lore-conform!
We have several quests where people change their race through magic... thus race change is lore conform!
Those two taken together means gender change would also be within the scope of what magic can achieve... thus gender change is lore conform.
I suppose all these options, as long as they are priced accodringly. If people have to pay 20 bucks worth of crowns to change their race, they won't do it every month, which seems to be a great fear about this matter, the FotM chasers changing their race left and right to get the most effective combination...
In any case, appererance change is being worked on, and I just cannot see them missing out on the profit they could make by selling race changes as well.
So it likely will be coming, sooner or later.0 -

As for an ES game, I'd rather see classes dismantled than race changes.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -
