Finding Provisioning Recipies

benisato707
I know recipes are found in chests, drawers, etc... However, are the recipes found in the zone levels or based on character levels? I have not found a clear answer to this question and it is hindering my leveling. Did the patch change the recipes to zone level, character level, provisioning level, etc..

They are now based on zone levels (this was changed in Update 6 with the provisioning overhaul).

Before, they were based on character levels, which made it impossible for you to find recipes after you had outleveled them.

Are you aware of what zones are what level? Or is there a level map around that I can bookmark for use?

Used to be based on char level, now it's based on zone (I guess to allow higher level characters to complete their collection in lower level areas).

Recipes also drop from writs (they're a pretty decent source for blue and purple recipes) and occasionally from random enemies.

I'm not sure. It may be related to the mob levels in the area you are in (like the medium armor mats, for example).

And daemonios mentioned the writs, which I forgot about, and they drop recipes based on your provisioning level.

I'm currently doing the writs and I purposely left some of my alts at level 1 because I still have a couple of blue recipes my provisioner doesn't know at that level.
