anyway to fix or stop from becoming "lagged" out after using a skill?

what happens is sometimes while im fighting mobs i will use my nightblades leap attack (i guess it would be considered a gap closer) and every once in a while my character will lose its weapons from its hands and i wont be able to use any attacks/skills. the only way ive found out how to fix this is either waiting and hoping to not die as the npc/mob is still killing me, or use a potion or go into the menu and unequipting and re-equipting my main weapon. in order to be able to start attacking them again.

also side note, i am able to move around while this happens but the npc/mob is where i was attacking air and dealing damage to me, which is why i assume its lag?

There's a bug in the game where your spell bar locks up. The next time this happens, look at see if the little lock icon is on. If it is, dodge roll in any direction as that will usually unlock it. From what I've seen on other posts and if your on PC, double tap the tab key as that's supposed to unlock it also.

I usually just wait it out... noticed it a few times over the weekend (XBOX NA).

Ya, this bug has been around for a very long time.

It's not surprising at all that it isn't fixed yet. ZOS is like that.

I had this, problem hasn't happened since I removed the option to not attack innocents. It seems my Xbox sometimes gets confused mid fight...

ill try looking next time, im usually in too much of a rush trying to get unstuck and not die specially if it happens at the first leaping strike and im attacking a group of 3. im all lagged out not being able to do anything (except move around which doesnt help since they are still attacking me where i was when this bug happened) lol.

oh sorry for forgetting that, im on PS4.

ill try to dodge roll next time too. i just dont want to waste a potion each time this happens or have to go into my menu and do a quick weapon swap to get my character being able to attack again and have my weapons re-appear after they vanish from my character.

If you can move, you should be able to dodge roll. So give that a try. The only time I haven't been able to unlock the bar is when I can't dodge roll due to being out of stamina....DOH!

lol ive tried doing that, but like i said when it happens at the very first leaping strike and you now have 3 mobs beating you up. you definitely dont have time to just wait 1-2 minutes for it to finally fix itself. lol

Lol yuup horribad bug.....multiple work arounds include:

1. Hitting esc twice
2. Hitting tab twice
3. Dodge rolling
4. Sprinting
5. in/out of inventory
6. smashing your face on your keyboard as you watch your character die in round 10 of vDSA with 2% left on Hiath and no rezzes left.

lol, well i can definitely try 3 of those. the inventory thing doesnt work for PS4 or atleast for me, i actually have to remove and reequip my weapon for it to work.

but thanks to all, i will definitely try dodge rolling or sprinting now

Alright it happend again, i went to do my leaping strike. I lost visuals of my weapons on my character and was still able to move. But i was not able to dodge roll or sprint. So im still assuming its lagg and not a bug? Still only way to fix is to wait it out, waste a potion or go into my menu to unequip/re-equip my weapon.

I hate to turn off that safety feature, just in case lol
But If it helped you, maybe it will work for me .
