✭✭✭✭Huh? There are about three places in the entire game where dark is truly dark. (And my gamma is as low as it goes.)
There are equally (in game) creative light sources you can use in such cases, if you look hard enough.Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

I see that as an 'authentic' means of telling time and I love it at night because when objects I want light up and I know gotta stop here... and here... and here...
