ive noticed that theres a trophy each for both becoming a vampire and becoming a werewolf and even checked out someones profile (by clicking on their name) and they were obviously being harassed about turning people into a were wolf because they said "please don't message me about biting you I can only do it once a week" etc. etc. (just to be clear I only checked out their profile to see if I actually could (im pretty new here) and I only made this discussion because of their comment about not being messaged for a bite)

so besides the trophy/achievement why would I want to become either??

and in doing so does that mean I wouldn't be able to adventure during the day anymore? or that every full moon id lose control of my character until dawn?

it just doesn't seem appealing to me (because if what I said in the previous sentence is true it limits your gaming experience) and im wondering why so many people are so keen, dare I say desperate, to be "turned".

I could be wrong. it might be a whole heap of fun and even advantageous somehow. I don't know. that's why I made this thread.

I have no idea why you would want to become one, but my tank is one for the regeneration passive.

The sun doesn't damage vampires and werewolves don't get forced to change.

So you can auction you can make atleast one lucky sole happy before auctioning off your bites for easy cash from those too lazy to do it on thier own! Lol. In my guild on Xbox One, were slowly passing it on. We agree to bite atleast one other member for free before selling it off. I was offered 20k yesterday just to bite someone. Not bad seeing as it takes maybe 5 minutes. The Werewolf is a beast at clearing dungeons . Plus the Werewolf passives arent bad either.

Heh. It's just that, currently, the WW gets the stam regen even when not in form, while vamp is always in form. So zero drawbacks on the WW where the vamp always has increased fire dmg taken since vamp is always in form.

your best looking up the pro's and con's first, but basically makicka is vamps and stamina is ww.

I believe vamps can bite and spread aswell. Just for me Werewolf was a no brainer considering you always get the rewards and can chose to not morph to avoid the posion damage con. Also you get a whole third skill slot bar and dont have to give up one. Not sure if thats the same for the vamps.

You get both, Magika and Stamina from Vampire.

There is just a lot more drawbacks on Vampire than on Werewolf.

But Vampire is a ton more useful for solo-play/solo-PvP

WW you get a passive 15% increase in stamina regen ! Pretty great for any stamina build, plus you don't have to actually transform or play the skill line unless you want too .

There are spawn points in your last alliance zone were the "wild" ww and bloodfiends can bite you.

Also only takes about an hour and a half to level from 1 to 10 in the werewolf skill line, if you find the right area.

15% incombat stamina regen for free and in compare to vampires, Bogdan does not confuse you with a torch, that has to be lit.

U get a new skill line, with active and passive skills, but there are also some downsides

And no all eso vamps are daywalkers and ww can transform on demand when they want ( and got enough ulti)

I've always seen it like this:

Vamps are high-risk/high reward, with the fire weakness and nerf to health regen being balanced by Mist Form and the Bat Swarm Ulti.

Werewolves on the other hand are more low-risk/low reward, with the free passive stam regen kind of negated by the fact that the werewolf ulti itself isn't the best, and there are no werewolf skills you can use in human form.

But this is coming from someone who's been a werewolf since one of the first full moons in-game. And from someone who was a fabled were-pire for several months.

Yes. I just did it on a new character last night. It used to be that you could stay in there after completing the quest, wolf out and grind the mobs to level it to 10 in about 30 minutes (because you stay in WW form indefinitely while in that instance). They've significantly reduced the respawn rate of the mobs in there now, though, so it took me probably about a full hour last night to get to WW rank 10. Still worth doing.

Can you cure yourself of WW or Vampire...say if you accidentally get bit and do not want it. Also if you are a werewolf, are you now immune to vampire bites and vice versa?

You cannot contract the diseases/conditions of WW if you are currently a vamp or vice versa.
