There have been times I was glad to see help because I already got my tail kicked and knew I'd have a hard time. The problem I've been having is sometimes the boss sticks in a spot and doesn't attack me at all. Easy kills but why that happens I don't know.

Kinda scratching my head here... as some of you actually think that the majority of players in this game are here for multiplayer action... when it is quite the opposite. This game's majority is SOLO players who want to team on occasion, this is how the game was designed, more for solo players than group players. This is also why they designed most of the group content to be soloable, as long as you're equipped and skilled for it.

However, part of the fun I find in this game is actually going into delves and other areas and actually seeing other people, not just NPCs. If you don't like the fact that other players are in your delve or dungeon, then come back later. Thankfully with my work schedule, I get to play a combination of weekdays and weekends... and weekdays are by far the much better time to play. Less population, less headache, and more players willing to "play nice" because they can't always rely on someone else coming along. ;)

I like many of the changes Zenimax has made, but i think it's messed up that I find myself saying: "I can't wait till i get to a higher level zone that has fewer people"...

It's so immersion breaking and dissapointing when I am on a quest to kill some boss at the end of a dungeon, and the whole dungeon is cleared with people just sitting over the boss respawn, only to kill it pretty much instantly. How has this not been changed? It makes me want to just press 11111 for the dialogues for the next 5 quests when something like this happens, because there just isn't a payoff for staying invested in what you are doing anymore. It's kinda of pathetic that this game puts so much investment into the single player questing, with thousands of hours of npc dialogue, only to have a many quests end in such a fizzle.

I get it's an MMO...but I feel like there needs to be some sort of change to fix this. More Instanced dungeons, or that GW2 mechanic where mobs instantly scale up in level depending on how many people are fighting it...just something. I want to actually give a crap about the quests I'm doing.

Noooooooooo. You think youre asking for a good thing but just nooooooo.

Defiance implemented a threat level mechanic like the one you are asking for and it was and continues to be a nightmare.
The tweaking is never right and usually eres on the side of player destruction.

Dead players for miles in every direction. An easy boss is now a cheese demon spawn incarnate.

Just remove your armor and bare fist if you need more of a challenge, trust me.
With all of the variables involved its unlikely to be a good kind of challenging. More like, I'm lucky if I don't hurl my controller into my flat screen.

Also try playing at diff times of day. I rarely see a bunch of people outside of town. Dungeons tend to have a trickle of players and I still kind of like to see all the diff character builds so I'm not so bothered.

I have so much loot, I am clearing my inventort all the time, I dont mind if another player grabs a chest. I have prob done it to others without knowing as I am always in first person.
    Best of luck.

Yeah and as players level up past the bosses level, they stop getting loot.
Its actually quite an ingenious way of prodding players into the next area and preventing farming.
I'm glad its done that way.

I do not run dungeons in this game. Do the bosses drop loot after each spawn? In gw2 you can only obtain loot from the world bosses once every 24 hours. Perhaps the same mechanic could be introduced into this game for dungeons or diminishing returns.
Your immersion is breaking my entitlement.

I like how they have dungeons marked as solo or group. Actually they are both the same except of course Banishing Cells ect., one day I hit walk and I literally walked thru the whole dungeon never having to fight one mob and when i got to main dude to get credit for it, I took one hit to him rest killed him picked up my loot from him and then ran out!

That is the game we were given! But I did ROFL when I finished it!

After about 20 or so minutes, you can get the Boss Drop (6 or more items, plus a chance for the Blue) again. Otherwise it is normal Mob Drops (3 items usually)

Which is why I don't think this is an issue that will last very long. Bosses don't give all that much experience, especially compared to the time you wasted waiting for the spawn to re-kill. You could go and kill 20 or 30 sets of mobs and get more from your time and effort. And, if your waiting for the spawn to pounce on it and kill again, your not going to get any loot that you would not get from a mob kill, so why wait?

Everyone will figure this out and the campers will figure out they are wasting their time doing this, if they are just camping to kill it over and over again.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

The BLUF is that there are a bunch of players hanging around to re-kill a boss, sometimes its smoking corpse (or two) still lying there.

    ... and stupid.

I agree that it is stupid to do this, the people waiting around to rekill are not getting as much experience as they would if they would go off and kill other mobs, nor are they getting the Boss Drop on a quick rekill. Which is why the game is fine in this regard, the lack of experience and loot from this method will make it go away, for those who are doing this.

But, having others around while your in a dungeon is being in an MMO, it goes with the territory. You can like it or not like it, but it is part of the game.

As for people being around a smoking corpse, if they showed up at the end of the fight, they have to wait for it to respawn if they did not get any hits or enough hits in. That is also part of being in an MMO.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Most of here since April last year know the problem we had with bots camping on top of bosses. Just hope this is not coming back into the game. For example if there are unique weapons & armor sets to be gained which could generate a decent income upon selling. A 20 minute gap between 'boss drops' is not a long period of time.

The arent group only but you certainly can group. Just like public delves arent group only like group dungeons. That doesnt mean you cant team up with the other people in there.

This is a game where they want us to team up. Putting in solo only instances would be in my opinion a determent to the game.

I agree with you, but the content the OP is talking about isn't challenging enough to group for, in fact, the problem is that any additional people in the area make decent solo content so trivial that you wish there just weren't any mobs at all.

Nobody is asking them to solo instance everything. What we are asking for is for the number of people in an area needed to spawn another instance be reduced. Five people in a delve makes it an MMO, ten+ people in a delve makes it a night club.

I play MMOs because I enjoy seeing real people running around, but there is a limit to the number of people you can have in an area before the atmosphere Zenimax spent so much time creating is ruined.

Again they are PUBLIC spaces. Meant for a lot of people. You could put 1000 people in there it wouldnt spawn another one. Because its a PUBLIC space.

I agree with you here and it is very annoying, what say you and me head back over to the pc where no one is doing anything because no one is there lol. Really though to many Aholes stealing my *** all the time, just do what I do and steal all the chests when you see them.

Neither of you are "stealing" anything. The mobs and the chests belong to the people who tag them. If you got to the chest first you didnt steal it. It was up for grabs and you grabbed it. Same as the mobs.

I don't think the bots will be back, but it would suck if they did. As for the uniques that drop from these bosses, and we are talking leveling zones, not end game stuff, does not sell for much. I know, I have tried, mostly can sell for decon or research. Maybe 100 to 300 is worth it, but there are easier ways to make that. Maybe low level blues have a market, I have never tried in the first couple of zones to sell that stuff.

No. Make the boss-fight in said public spaces instanced, so we don't have to see a bunch of other players camping the darn corpse.

Fully instanced games are garbage imo. They aren't mmorpgs, they are just rpgs. NO NO NO NO!!!!

When I first started playing and for a while it annoyed me. Like running in a solo delve, taking my time and then along comes a group of 3 smashing it all....many times I've simply stopped and waited ppl out.

However aside from the occasional dirt bag that steals the node I'm killing those mobs for...I just get in my one hit and keep moving. Most players despite those few jerks are just trying to do the same, live and let live and all that flower happy stuff

There are still solo delve bosses that respawn crazy fast and the xp is worth pounding on them for?? where? I though the nerf bat got them all
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!
