Is the game fun, quest-bug free?

uriangelub17_ESO
I've read several threads saying that the game took a huge turn with the release of TU, is that true?

I'm really interested in buying the game and I wanna play it. I do like PvP, but I usually enjoy PvE more. Is there enough people playing the game so that I might be able to enjoy all content?

I mean, I wanna be able to at least see low level dungeons and stuff. How the drops work? Loot system? Quest tracker? Or is it up to you to discover and get lost?

PvP has some problems atm, they've pretty much ironed out the majority of the PVE questing bugs. If that is your primary concern, then you should be good to go.

What PvP problems are there? Been doing quite a bit of PvP and if anything cyrodiil has been smoother than the pve side of things in my experience

Yes its fun, and no not all bugs are clear most of them are or have work aroundd in the questing system like any other game with a ton of people playing them
  • uriangelub17_ESO
Yeah, I think PvE would be my focus when getting the game.
After exhausting PvE, I'd like to start getting into PvP, but usually PvP is more competitive and you gotta know and be up to date with everything.

Is there any Castle Siege ala Lineage2 or Perfect World? Even GW2? Something that is more permanent, conquering castles and holding them that doesn't requires a guild of 1000 people?

No game like this is 'bug free', infact, no game period is bug free for the most part. I played on PC for 4 months, 3 straight, took a cpl off, then came back towards the console release to get a feel for how things had changed. On PC it became increasingly difficult to find groups to conquer veteran content efficiently, or even enjoyably, so I inevitably stopped playing. I only picked it up for PC when I learned you could transfer your characters to console through their limited time promotion.

The games much smoother than the PC launch, much less buggy, and way more enjoyable. The Xbox crowd is larger, and much more interactive than the PC crowd was, from my experience.Whether it stays that way for long is still to be determined. Id recommend getting this game to anyone, it's a great, and PVE is enjoyable.

That is my main concern. I do like to solo and experience the PvE content, but I do want to do group content and I'm hoping is not a dead game where is impossible to find something unless you're max level or something

It's hard to find groups for things like dungeons while leveling up, but not because the game is dead. It's just because questing is such a faster way to level that no one really wants to take the time to do the dungeons if the rewards aren't all that rewarding for the time put in. I find it's very easy to find groups for things at max level.

It's ok. I find myself wanting to skip most of the dialog, and it's just another one of those, get the quest, go there and do the quest kind of MMO. I was spoiled in that I was able to play Ultima Online in its infancy. I haven't played a single MMORPG that's even come close to it. To me this game is lacking a lot of content that should be in an MMO to begin with, but that's just my opinion. Towns are desolate looking. My player interaction with others has been non existent so far.

Wow... here I am, starting in the AD alliance, and towns are always active on PC. I wish there was less, especially less people chasing after my mats!! :p I tend to do a lot of mat farming to sell, refine, etc... and still finding it difficult to farm mats a lot of time due to others doing the same. So far I haven't found a single bug, but I'm only level 17; enjoying everything I've found so far. The quests, while many like to claim they are "the same", I find to be quite diverse. The game is HUGE, and there are tons of quests, and I use an Add-On to help me find all those quest-givers because I love questing. I have no interest in PvP, so I'm taking my time with leveling in PvE. I'm also working on leveling my three crafts, which I have one of the three crafts sitting at level 25 right now, the other two should be at 25 later today... not bad IMO for my character only being level 17.

    Is the game bug free??
PC: The progress blocking quest bugs are all gone. there are some minor bugs still around, but most of them are minor and not progress blocking. PvP has issues due to the lag. This is not a bug, but a very deep problem that is not easily fixed.

Console: It just released less then 2 weeks ago. There are a few progress blocking bugs. It seems they are on the scope of ZoS and they claim these things are going to be fixed tonight. If the fix works....who knows.

All in all, where the game was NOT ready when they released it a year ago, it is now in good standards and the console release was a lot smoother.

I do like PvP, but I usually enjoy PvE more. Is there enough people playing the game so that I might be able to enjoy all content?

I'm normally just a PvE guy myself, but the PvP in this game is actually really well done. Quite enjoyable, even if you're just doing it casually. Tag along with a large group and enjoy the carnage.
I mean, I wanna be able to at least see low level dungeons and stuff. How the drops work? Loot system? Quest tracker? Or is it up to you to discover and get lost?

The Dungeons themselves are great, the queue system IMHO is not. It's frustratingly slow and I mean REALLY slow. When you do get a group, it's your own responsibility to teleport to a dungeon as well.

In short, I don't like the system. After coming from a World of Warcraft background where the queue system for all match made PvE content is simple, intuitive and no mess, no fuss, the TESO model feels very awkward and often more trouble than it's worth which is a shame.

If you're in a guild it's no problems, but if you just enjoy the casual PUG group experience or play solo a lot it's a real pain.

Loot system is great, individual loot. No complaints there at all.

Quest tracker is fine in my experience.

The game does actually encourage you a lot to just pick a direction and ride. It's good like that and I've really enjoyed the experience overall.

The biggest issue I have (besides the poor LFG system) is the inivisible NPC/Enemy bug at the moment on console where you have to literally close the client and restart it to fix it.

I understand that will be fixed shortly, but no news at all on the LFG model for Dungeon/Raid content which for me being primarily a PvE gamer is admittedly very disappointing.
