New XP Scrolls

Surprised no one has asked this, but... The new XP bonus scroll gives 50% for 2 hours. The new XP Ambrosia potion gives 50% for 30 minutes. So isn't the Crown Store item better than in game? Are you going back on statement "Nothing in CS will be better than in-game?". I loved the way you added the potion, then logged in today and was so disappointed at what I consider a "sell out". I love this game and have 2400+ hrs in Tamriel, but Zos seems to be inching it's way to P2W and "instant everything". What are your thoughts on this?

So they are live now. I think its just good, so players dont have so much power. Give power to the player and we have thousand of little power-hungry-kid in game.

leveling up faster isnt making anyone stonger to the other, just getting to the end faster. One may level to vr14 while the other is vr1, but at equal amount of exp they are the same. No issues here

You can craft 4 XP potions at once and if you have the passives unlocked in provisioning they will last like 50 minutes each, o yeah and they are free. So the in game ones, IMO, are better.

It's 50 minutes and 4 potions per 1 materials with your passives.
So technically it's 200 minutes per roe.

Would it make you feel better if they gave you 4 XP Ambrosia potions instead of 1 scroll? They do the exact same thing. You're just essentially purchasing multiple potions for each scroll you buy.

Their thinking is the drink, with the right passives, is crafted 4 at a time which equals 2 hours. Also the drink is affected by other passives, so the total is really over 3hrs times every set crafted.

But something else occurs to me, 2 straight hours is a lot. That's wasted time every time I need to make a bank/vendor run. The XP buff is easier to maximize in smaller chunks, at least that's my thinking.

OK, the passives that increase how long the craftable drink lasts... Don't those also affect how long the Crown Store version lasts? Or do they have no effect because it's a scroll instead of a drink?

Crafted potions with provisioning Passives are better as they last longer.

He did say "with your passives". I thought it was pretty clear.

You people are missing the key elements here. The scrolls and the potions do exactly the same thing: +50% increase to all XP gained. The amount of time it applies is irrelevant. Provisioners get longer buffs, other players can buy more, cash shop means you buy less. It doesn't matter. They all give the same thing.

Trying to compare the scrolls to potions directly means you're trying to put a cash value on the mats, the time it took to acquire those mats, the time it took to create the potion, the time it took for the potion to sell, the time you spent going to the Guild Store to buy the potion.

None of that matters unless you can show that the $10 or whatever it is you spend on the scroll is equivalent to the factors involved in obtaining it in game.
