Since my first Elder Scrolls game (oblivion), my friends and I would talk about how great the series would be online. Then along came ESO and we waited to play. Almost a week in and even though as an mmo I can't say that much as I'm still new and haven't played much multiplayer stuff (besides missions with friends), as an Elder Scrolls game in general, you guys bailed everything I expected.

Great job!

But I will say that the lack of basic communication within the game (PS4 user) does hinder the whole mmo experience.

I agree, everything is great except communication which is nonexistent. This is making grouping a disaster.

This is not the verb I was expecting to read here.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with that expression either. We (my friends and I) always used the term "bailed" to mean "leave". Within the context of OP's sentence, that would NOT seem to be a good thing. Has the meaning changed over the years? Or did OP mean to use "nailed"? (B and N are next to each other on a standard QWERTY keyboard)

    That was my reaction too.

Well, I have spent 8 hours a day or more sitting in front of one for the past 20 years so ...

Just cause I grew up in the country doesn't mean I wanna bail everything I see... (Jokes)

But on topic, I'm extremely pleased so far. If i never get into the mmo aspect of it (which I guarantee I will) I'd still feel as if my purchase was worth the money as playing solo is just so damn fun.

I always feel I get my money out of 100+ hour games. I get kinda mad when I buy a $60 US game and get like 9 hours out of it before replaying at another difficulty.

    MMOs are great for that.

ESO is one of the best games I've ever played, hands down. There's some issues, but... every MMO and every game has them. Except for maybe the Xcom reboot. That was close to perfection. =D

But yeah, I've been MMOing since Meridian 59 and Ultima Online. Even worked on the UO support team. I've done anything and everything in between, and ESO is by far one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Even with the bugs and the recent issues I experienced, ZOS came through and did a damn nice job recovering from it.

Yesterday was frustrating, but Gina and the crew were they burning the midnight oil to get it fixed. I've got a lot of respect for that.

    Yup, they totally bailed it!!!

    j/k.

I agree for the most part. I have issues with some decisions but love the game as a whole and I'd rather play this than any other MMO out there. As a PC player I have that choice. I chose ESO.

Consolers have a choice between 2 now? FF and ESO. (Destiny is not an mmo I hear and the others are just co-op dressed up to look like an mmo)

And the console point isn't a rip on consolers, just pointing out that PC gamers have a lot more to chose from when it comes to MMORPGs so it's more meaningful that we chose this one (all opinion btw)

Xbox has Neverwinter now too (though ti is kind of a FTP cash grab) PS has DC Universe on PS4 now doesn't it? Or is that just PS3 only?

Ahh forgot about those 2. I was part of the Neverwinter PC alpha/beta/launch and stopped 2 weeks into launch due to the huge amount of auction house exploits and the p2w nature of the gear. Plus I don't like that it is on rails. Don't think it could be more linear so it felt more like an action game in coop. Dungeons and dragons online was sooooo much better but dated now. DCUO I wanted to like but couldn't get into. So ya, those 2 as well :)

Well, as a pure console player (never could get into the whole PC gaming thing) I am inexperienced in mmo's but I did play DCUO for 4 years and it was great... I won't vent anything here about it's issues as it has it's own forum for that, but I consider myself lucky to go from DC (which has given me THOUSANDS of hours of enjoyment) to ESO.

I look forward to sinking thousands of hours into this game as well... As long as it doesn't start getting greedy and only wanting my money... Kinda like DCUO has done. It's refreshing to buy a game and not have to continually buy tokens to play content over again with friends. So please, don't do that with this wonderful game!!!

Also... Text chat, and character names. C'mon guys.

And Gina, nice to meet you! Thanks for everything.
