So a huge buff recipe that comes in pieces doing writs that requires ingredients from fishing. Wow!

They certainly know how to manipulate (positive version) :7

Time to go fishing I suppose, naaaa.

WTB perfect roe

As boring as it is I think it's probably a good plan. It definitely just made fishing a much more valuable and worthwhile profession.

Yeah this is pretty silly. Not to mention tedious. Youll spend more time obtaining recipe/ingredients than you would have just buckling down and grinding.

I see it more as a way for people who enjoy fishing over grinding to make a ton of cash from the grinders and then buy good gear. Swings and roundabouts

What it does is provide a possible source of in-game income for people who have all the time in the world to sit around in the game doing nothing much interesting. Heck, seeing how it requires nothing but time, I might even take up fishing for roe. It may be a boring thing to do, but at least it's new, and we haven't seen any new stuff for quite some time.

Yes, there is nothing like getting ganked while fishing.
I'll be keeping my eye out for Leper Si and Sypher Ali

Yep, I intend to "dive" in lol
At least as soon as I'm not afraid to log into the game because of the crashes and that one guy losing Everything on his character...

Haven't had much to do in the game for awhile anyway

It's pretty great for those of us who don't care about CP and like to just hang out. I'm going fishing! You can have the Ambrosia I craft. :)

I don't think it's really aimed at the 'new guys' (like us) so much as the one's that have been angler's from the word 'go.'

It's semi-brilliant, in its own way, no more empty nodes (Alchemy guys are happy), reason to farm bait, benefits from the fishing types, bonuses for (almost) all.

If you didn't fish before, odds are, you're probably not going to dedicate four hours a day to it now.

I just wish they'd update the monster AI so they'd attack anything nearby. (A little trolling is good for the soul, right?)

It's highly disappointing when you take the time to kite some critters nearby and they only remain interested in you.

Everyone knows, the only thing more exciting than landing the big one is landing the big one when atronachs, casters, and scorpions are trying to steal your bait.

Nobody wants to do PVP because it's boring with most fights grossly imbalanced one way or the other, crazy long rides across the country side, and no clear goals. Solution, all good XP quests and grinds in Cyridiil and the best, most valuable sets come from PVP, and the PVP Skill line includes the only good stamina heal in a world were everybody must now run stamina.

Nobody wants to do fishing because it's boring to ride around looking for fishing holes to press the "E" key and hope for the best. Solution, drop the ingredient everybody wants and needs there.

It's simple, at ZOS we do not work to make the game more fun, we instead extrinsically reward content in reverse relationship to how much fun that content is. So craiglorn, which is fun we make worthless and Cyridill and fishing, about as much fun and a colonoscopy, we put the best stuff that everybody needs in. I don't think it's a recipe for longterm player base happiness and satisfaction but it's sure easier than trying to make content that missed the mark better.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

I have a suspicion Imperial City will address the majority of your issues as it will be smaller scale (plus arena) with clear objectives (take district) and rewards which will be in balance with the level of difficulty (craftable Imperial Daedric sets)

hmmm, I rather enjoy PvP, doesn't mean there's not a tonne of issues though.

When I do fish, I find it very relaxing especially with a tasty beverage IRL.

They have done some very confusing and plain backwards decisions from the players perspective. Craglorn is the perfect example for an absolute waste of good content by nerfing and forcing it to be group. I do think they'll come around on this eventually though who really knows when.

This is all part of ZoS' plan to turn the game into a Facebook game. We can start calling it eso-ville. People who log on and spend hours doing nothing can now be rewarded for it. I'm so glad the game is free now, ZoS has proven they have no interest in keeping TES a fun game.
