Why add XP/CP pots

We're already seeing people at 250 Champion Points, why add them, the game is made so easy PvE wise this is just going to make it even more a walk in the park. Seriously?

please tell me @ZOS_GinaBruno you guys thought about this before you added this stuff in right? Why not wait until you correct up pve, this is silly, there are a lot of people I know with 400CP and a lot of gold to just buy it and farm it as a group go in and crush the leader boards.

I've got 215. Champion Points are easy to get. However, the XP potions are a godsend for people who want to level up secondary characters without having to grind. I've already got a Vet 14, and I want to get a second character viable for PVP... but I just can't stomach the VR grind to do so, and being anything other than VR14 in PVP is just asking for pain.

So these potions will make life insanely easier.

Personally, I think should have a requirement that you can only use them once you've unlocked a vet character, but... we'll see how it goes. I'm actually happy for them, and ZOS did the right thing by making them player craftable. And it also gives fishing a reason to exist a bit more than it does.

I don't see a problem with them (xp), the problem I see is that this game is far too easy as it is, I have 323 champion points and it's just so easy to stroll through, using these to keep up is going to make this a joke even more than it is.

Then you will get the people farming it and farming CP just to stick at the top of the leaderboards. come on zos at least fix your system before you run it into the ground even more before you do

You will spend hours and hours fishing for very rare ingredient. That is doing nothing that gives any XP.. You will then do some stuff with the potion on so that you get XP. Most probably you won't be able to make up the lost xp you could have earned anyway it is just 50%. If you decide to sell them. People that will spend their time earning xp will buy them and get xp faster.
The only use I see for them is using them if you want to rank up alts to 14 faster.

They did, they thought of the VAST MAJORITY that don't have a VR14 whose been grinding CPs for months .. if you have one you're in a very small minority and thankfully ZOS aren't allowing that to cloud their judgement.

Really? Funny, this wont close the gap at all. You forget that the people with the VR14s have been from launch and have millions of gold. This will make the gap even further.

Adding a CP boost for the CP farmers is the best way to go about it I see. You realise how much these will be worth? Probably 100k per 1 potion, who can pay that much? Surely not the noobie with 75 CP right? But the guy with 400CP easily has enough to spend

I've been VR14 for since the long long ago, in the before time... and I can assure you, and most other VR14s, are broke as hell. Well, mostly PVPers. PVP in ESO is a ridiculously expensive hobby.

I've been VR14 for since the long long ago, in the before time... and I can assure you, and most other VR14s, are broke as hell. Well, mostly PVPers. PVP in ESO is a ridiculously expensive hobby.

Funnily enough this game has a thing called PvE and a thing called VDSA which sells healer rings for 28,000 Per. Luckily for me I've sold over 300 or more of them in my time of doing VDSA competitively. AND all the VR14 Healer clothing. And I just made 3mil from last weekly as I put 8 VR toons on the boards.

Gina said they won't be in the crown store, so that's good. But if you look at a post I made in another thread, you only need 1080 points to be truly maxed out, as diminishing returns start around 30 CP in an ability. Since you don't NEED every ability for your build to work, you need even less CP than that. As long as you hit 1080 you're pretty much maxed out, as that will get you 30 points in every ability, as well as every unlocked passive in the trees.

They're trying to give the fishermen a greater porpoise.

They'll spend hours and hours finding the mat, which will then sell for absurd amounts of gold (and/or one portion each of the finished product.)

The side effect of this means bait prices probably just doubled, as a minimum.

I think this is so the console players have a way to get cp points a bit faster, since the new players will have 0 when they hit vr level, it still does nothing to address the ever growing power gap but at least the new players can get some points faster, will have to see how this really playsout, as it can also widen the gap further and even quicker.

Explain "top end PVE'er" in this game, ive beaten sactum, hel ra, and AA along with DSA Regular and Vet... it has its moments but it doesnt have "top end pve" it has no end game at all. So when you cry about the game needing to be more challenging in all reality you are asking for new content and if you want to whine about it on the forums there are plently of dead posts you can add to rather than start a new one with the same ol' ***. As I said above, if you want hard, go play Dark souls that will give you a challenge.

These sorts of potions are a staple of non-sub based games, they generally find their way into these games at some point. I'm sorry it happened so soon but it did happen; c'est la vie, no?

*IF* (and I do mean if) they finally do remove veteran ranks, the power level and way we get CP will change and I imagine these will be far less unbalancing.

XP pots are good and a normal non/P2W addition to the cash shop. Good move on the part of Zos.

Money, if they succeed that should bring them steady flow of money. Much better than some mounts. I approve this idea if its mainly for new and casual players.

Seeing how common the recipe fragments and gold mats are I wonder how many of these "top end pve players" will be buying them for crowns? I would assume not many.
