Question about potions.

Can we have two potions active at the same time?
I've noticed if I take a stamina regen potion, my stamina bar gets the moving arrow to signify it's working. Then, if I take a magicka regen potion the stamina bar disappears and the magicka bar gets the moving arrow. Is it safe to say the second will cancel out the first?

I'm assuming the same goes for provisions as well

Yes, I think they cancel each other out.
On the topic of food/drink, it is 100% sure that you can only have one active at a time.

Well that's a bummer. So if I eat a chicken and gain 100 hp for 35 minutes, then take a position to regen magicka for 35 minutes, I lose the extra hp? So, I got to decide what's more important for the situation at hand then.

Yes, you do. Generally in pve people tend to use food more than drinks btw.

Yes, because both food and drinks apply to one category: "food buff" and you can have only 1 buff of certain type at a time.

Potions don't generally apply due to the cooldown. (The effect has worn off by the time you could down another potion anyway.)

Provisioning is currently an either/or proposition. You get added stats or added regens, but not both.

There are presently no hybrid foods. (Add one stat + regen of another)

I think you mean drinks, not potions?

Yes, drink and foods don't stack. You have to decide what works for you. Also keep in mind that there are blue food and drinks (that apply to two stats at once) and purple (all stats at once) for certain levels, so you have flexibility there as well.

You can, however level up alchemy and provisioning and Craft food that boosts 2 stats (blue recipes) and 3 stats (purple recipes) Same with regen drinks and what we call Tri-Pots (health, stam, magicka recovery)
