Templar Healer question

got to run a few dungeons today for the first time and had a blast healing. the one issue i ever had was when i would get a lot of aggro. how do you veteran healers handle that? is there a skill or something to get rid of a bunch of adds that aggro to you? thanks in advance for any tips!

✭✭✭✭Um... ideally if it's a big boss aggro-ing on you - that's what the tank is for - to get and keep that #@$@%'s attention.
If it's mobs, then that's what your DPSs are for.
If you are spamming siphon spirit (5th ability in the resto staff) every baddie and their brother will suddenly be after you - use judiciously *after* other characters have done damage.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

✭✭There are quiet a few things you can do:
If the boss hits you it's either a certain boss mechanic (like a boss charging to a random member once in a while) or your tank is doing a mistake.
If the tank (or any stamina dd) uses caltrops many adds will focus him.
Make sure you don't "overheal". (Don't use heals on people that have full health)
Use block / dodgeroll while healing. It won't reduce aggro, but it will prevent you from taking damage.0 -

ya i guess it could just be i didn't have my second weapon slot yet ,so i didn't really have any good dps skills on my bar. just hit level 15 so I'm thinking that will make a big difference. haven't got siphon spirit yet but i am looking forward to it.0
