After each time the game loads I am placed back in the first chat channel of the trade guild which is alphabetically first on the list. There's always over 40 people in the channel, so each time the game finishes loading it is a horrible experience. Nearly every person in these channels is being dropped in automatically as well, most unaware, so the background noise is extreme.
The only workaround discovered so far is to find a guild channel not in use and stay in it, but as others discover this it's no longer a good workaround since many people sit in those channels with their microphones unmuted too.
PLEASE add an option to turn off automatic joining of voice chat channels after loading or switching characters. This should not be default behavior. I cannot fathom how anyone thought it would be wise to make this the default behavior considering most players are in several trade guilds with over 400 members.
