I did get the pre order treasure maps and I have a question.

The very first character I made checked the in-game mail and I did receive all 4 treasure maps.
Now I cannot deposit them into my personal bank. I was thinking I could put them there and then the character that I have in that faction area could use it. But since that is not the case, would anyone be able to tell me if the character that has them & opens them, are they the only one who gets the information off of them?
I'm thinking that either it is that way (which is fine I'm not greedy) or if not would it be that the information is shared between all my characters and that it then just becomes first come, first serve & once the treasure is gone it's gone.

Yeah, you have to do it this way. It's annoying the containers can't be stored/transferred but you can transfer the actual maps.
And yes, each map is one-use only.1 -

Yeah, it works this way
But be careful not to have autoloot enabled.. I didn't have it on back then when I got the coffers with the treasure maps, but I had it on when I was on PTS for Update 6 and wanted to open the coffers with all the different types of equipment and other things.. tons and tons of single items were spread all over my inventory lol Venus Ocean - Breton Sorceress VR16, EP, Tamriel Hero | Gixia - Breton Sorceress VR16, EP, Tamriel Hero

✭✭✭✭You are correct in thinking that only the character that has them can use them, they cannot be put in your shared bank..........
AND
If you delete that character you will lose them, sorry
