How does the ques ine work?

SirGreenDay
I'm having a hard time figuring this quest system out.

The quest log is missing so much basic info.

1. It doesn't tell you the quests location.
2. It doesn't tell you the quests level. And "no" the color is useless. I've had RED quests that were my current level.

In every other MMO, there is a single, master quest list that shows you all your quests.

Then they're sorted by, location, level, completed, failed etc.

This quest log just shows the quest name. That's it.

So, is there a quest line like in other MMO'S? If so, how do you know which quest is the next in the progression?

I can't even find quests. Are you supposed to literally open each map and look for quest markers? Is there a way to open a World map?

If someone who has experience with ESO could answer these questions, it would help me immensely.

I'm not bitching, I'm just very frustrated. I guess I'm just used to more fleshed out MMO'S, like FFXIV. I really like the game, I'm just finding the quest/map statement confusing.

Thanks!

Xbox - Windows Button / PS4 - Options button likely to open map?

You have to go up to the question mark locations to talk to NPCs to learn about the quest they have to offer. Also certain NPC quests will not even show up on the map until you walk by them in the world.

As far as quest list I can't help you there as I primarily focus on finishing off all my open quests which never stop as I continue to pick up new quests as I see them.

XBOX now and MAC previously is what I play on

They removed the journal and no longer display the quest levels on console? That seems like a bad idea.

Also they have never had a list of completed quests, it was an issue awhile back with a few zones like shadowfen.
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

ESO encourages you to explore to find quests. There is very little hand holding here. Even delve locations don't show in your radar unless you are close or have discovered them. You can however be given location discoveries by things you read and NPC's you talk to who have no quest markers, etc.
