After watching King....or better yet Lord James secure another win for the Cavaliers...I went on Metacritic to see how my recent PS4 purchase has done.
On Metacritic the XBOX ONE score is over 9 (which for most games is a dream, and this is AFTER 100+ people have reviewed both systems). However, the PS4 version with almost the exact same amount of reviews is only a 7.1. How is this even possible?
I bought the PS4 version after debating it for a week...and my initial experience is that the PS4 version is fine. I played the PC version since BETA (on a computer I built with over $3,000 in parts)...so yes I know what it looks like on a HIGH END PC. The PS4 version is damn close....I'm not saying its better by any stretch of the imagination....but give these guys credit where credit is due! It is VERY close. If you don't believe me pay more attention to the lighting and water effects...it is insane how well they did with the hardware they had to work with.
The ONLY reason I can come up with for XBOX ONE having such a higher score is XBOX Live vs PSN....or...maybe its the controls??? Do you guys have any ideas why XBOX ONE is doing so much better in polling?

Now that might be because more people are on the ps4 in the same area , but the areas I'm in don't seem too populated.

between both systems the gamer-tags are probably pulling some immersion out of it but other then that controls are right on
everything is pretty tight . little lag , nothing else to gripe about

The PS4 version runs absolutely fine so even if the xbox one version is better it would only be slightly better. I think at the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference. Do you prefer the xbox one controller? Do all your friends have the xbox one version? Get that version then.

Something about their shape /size around the edges makes them a little too small in places and cramps the center of my hands when I hold them. Button layout seems to be pretty much the same. I have to say the default layout is really good, once I get past my ingrained reflexes from PC.
Also as said before:
SONY dropped the ball on PS3, and Xbox has a huge lead on social/party features and game integration. Xbox has more of a culture of voice chat available all the time.
If you go into a game like Battlefield: Hardline and randomly join a squad, it will be quiet. IIf someone starts talking, often everyone will switch on their mics and chat (Xbox one players also have a self mute button on all mics. standard... and a lot of the less annoying people use them, as my example above oten default them to off.). We do have idiots that use heir Kinect as mic and that never works out well. We have robot voice idiots and music idiots too.
IMO ESO's voice chat system plays more towards Xbox culture than PS4 culture.
I always felt more comfortable with the xbox style controller. The slightly shifted thumbsticks made more ergonomic sense to me.traigusb14_ESO2 wrote: »Honestly, PS controllers give me hand cramps. I agree with the PS3 controller comment...but the PS4 controller is way better than the PS3 controller. However, I'm not sure that it is as good as the XBOX ONE controller

Metacritic is garbage. Wait for the ACTUAL reviews by professionals.
Or just play the game and make up your own mind.

I wish someone could give me more of a break down on the PS4 controls compared to the XBOX ONE controls. I just wanted to know if XBOX ONE controls are superior.
Also, is it too late to get the preorder bonuses to play any faction as any race?
