Even with all the technical issues with logging in, I have to say I am blown away with the amount of people in each of the starting zones. Been playing the PC version since beta and never seen that many people in Daggefall Starting area ever. Yeah, it creates a lot of lag and pauses, but the amount of people running around is damn impressive. I just logged into another faction and the same thing, a TON of people.

I imagine around 4pm EST to 10pm EST it is going to be completely nuts as people getting off of work and picking up physical copies is going to cause even more influx of players coming in.

There is a max cap of 200 per instance though right? So while it will be packed it will never be soooo packed that you can't move.

I can only imagine if there was no instance haha. Very safe estimate is 25,000 copies of ESO being sold in NA for one system? Could you imagine 5,000+ people in each starting area?

All the starter cities were jam packed when PC launched. I rolled em all within the first week to see what was what. On console they limit by a lot more how many people can be on the screen at once. I think you are just excited so it seems like more. But I'm glad you're having fun :)

Also, you joined January of this year. Beta was not January. I smell propaganda.

Joining the Forum does not equate to playing the game. You have to activate the forum account seperately. I've been here since Beta, too but not posting on the forums :)

That is when I joined the forum buddy, not everyone that plays the game are in the forum. If that was the case, I would imagine the amount of people on the forum would be 100x more.

All I am saying is that there are a TON of people in the starting areas and I don't remember seeing that many on PC. We also have to remember PC had a rolling start, letting pre-order people in a few days earlier etc. while on console we are all thrust in at the same time.

Gotcha. Was kind of teasing with the propaganda thing.

No issues man. We are all playing the same game, I am still rolling with my PC characters as I made a lot of friends and will continue, but also on console with family, wife and IRL friends. I am just happy that there are lots of people playing and we still have not hit the major push as many are picking up retail copies today.

Regardless of where people stand with the console vs. pc thing, we all can benefit from the game being successful as it will mean more content, especially for us PC gamers that have been playing for well over a year and not too much being added as far as new areas etc. is concerned.

Yes when PC/MAC went live the starter areas were packed.

Population in Shadowfen this morning was low. I went through all six group bosses and Sanguine's Demense without seeing anyone...

I think I managed to download before most transfer players though - so hopefully there will be more people tonight!

Yeah, I took one of my PC characters on console and fast travelled from Daggerfall to Stormhaven, it was like Night and Day, from feeling like ants were everywhere (Daggerfall) to only NPC's (Stormhaven) it was pretty jarring.
